I agree the RR gain/loss leans more toward punishing the player than rewarding, feels pretty demotivating as a player who doesn't get much time for games to earn 12-18 RR per win only to fall further down by 20-25 RR on a loss.

I don't like they nerf Omen instead of buff the other controllers like Brim, Harbor, etc. In pro scene they still gonna choose Omen maybe + Astra in a lot of maps cause other controllers just not good enough. I don't like they focus the slow orb on Sage, will be better to give back the self heal to 60HP or more like the previous patch, healing speed, Wall buff, or Res mechanics. The Sage buff doesn't affect that much in rank and pro scene. Phoenix Fire wall is a good change, Rather than flash only, I would rather to choose between flash or heal. No need to add orb to Cypher's ult

As an omen main I didn't realize how often I used these. I always smoked lamps on geometry or door posts. To me of course it's sad because it was pretty much the only thing I tried to be creative with, but hey Omen is still fun.

Nice video brim sensei someone in my twitch chat mentioned it to me and I agree with most of the things you've said. but the problem lies within the company of riot games its priority is to make money but there's multiple problems. People buying skins when the company isn't doing anything to improve the game/quality and makes false promises for example adding the replay system which still hasn't been added I'm sure I could name many more but yeah! I will never ever buy skins or microtransactions from any riot game mainly because I realized long time ago that they do nothing for the consumer that plays the game for fun or for ranked. They're primary focus is $$$$$$$$ and more attention towards the pro play stuff!

A change i would like on brim, it is if after you get the speed up skill buff, after you or your teammates kill someone, the buff duration will reset. And the smoke get another charge after 2 kills. I definitely agree that some of the recent changes are a bit odd since they don't do much. I don't really play her but iI was hoping the sage buff would have been more significant. She's the only sentinel with no traps, and while healing can be powerful, I think too often its not. I too don't like clove and as a controller main its mostly because I feel she has so little active utility compared to others. I think the smoke after death was a bad idea, because it breaks the rules that riot previously established where util dies with the agent. I think the meddle is a cool ability but having one makes it feel like holding gold sometimes. I think the breaking the rules thing has been what frustrates me the most with riot along with being seemingly unwilling to make drastic changes when things aren't working and when something works too well, don't just nerf it to the ground, recontextualize it. Give us more to do so it feels fresh. But don't break the rules. Like at this point I don't understand why all signature abilities don't either recharge automatically or are able to be regained through kills. Like why do most get that but others not? But to be fair, I also think its partly the fault of the player base, because riot can't seem to do anything about autolock Jetts that have literally never touched another agent in their 2000+ hours and never will, and the only time people like that change is when something broken gets released and thats all they do then. Make fun not broken.

About the outro section - particularly the part you mention Riot flushing more characters into the game: Riot does this exact same thing with League of Legends, and has been doing it for the longest while. I've played League, Dota, and Smite which are the three biggest MOBAs around and personally League is the worst easily because of this fact. If they come to decide that pumping out new characters is more profitable than reworking them, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens to Valorant. Just my two cents. I understand your frustration. Valorant is like League of Legends where there is a massive power difference between meta champions and off-meta champions. Actually the unbalance attracts and entertains more players because they want to play cool and powerful characters. Also, by updating the game frequently, Riot games gives you an illusion that they are making the game better or trying to balance the game. However, Riot games will never create a perfect balance because players would not want to play new powerful meta characters. That’s why as a League or Valorant player, one should know when to dodge a queue, when you have a bad team combination.

But does it mean you can survive other things like a raze rocket? Jett knives headshot? So it’s interesting because if you can’t survive those then it just really means it’s extra HP to survive weaker attacks such as weaker guns or weaker utility. E.g you can stand in mollies for longer?

Omen Main here. Yea the smoke change for omen is strange but you know its good for consistency but overall will not affect omen mains much. As an omen main, i am very happy about the frenzy change adding 2 more bullets. We tend to use frenzy more often than not so i know alot of omen mains are glad for the increase. Always sucks when your 1-2 bullets from a kill to just run out of ammo.

Yea…Riot needs to fix RR system, especially for controller players, controller players often has to plant, hold flank, give utilities on time and even fight clutches oftentimes, the work for controller players is way more than other roles but often got bad KDs but lots of assists, but assists don’t really helps increase your RR gain after games, I’ve been playing controller for 3yrs and I always IGL or motivate my team in-game but what I got is average +17/-22rr, I don’t feel like Riot is doing fair with every agent roles in Valorant. Valorant is basically supporting those non-teamwork players for baiting and farming KDs with duelist so when they win or lost they got get more RR and lose less.

They needs to start working on utility assists or make a team point system that counts your flashes, smoke and heal, that actually effects your MMR or get extra RRs while playing specific roles just like Overwatch does to motivate ppl to play on supportive agents.

I cant tell with riot sometimes. Are they trying to make utility worse or better. The wierd omen one ways are basically the omen equivalent of brim lineups so idk why the got rid of them. Honestly Sage res is underpowered compared to the other. Clove can resurrect and fly away for free like a Reyna dismiss, no reason Sage res should be that slow and 50% of the time be used as a bait. Also I think Brim deserves a refreshable. If the stim was refreshable on 2 kills or on time it would be kind of nice and could be used on post-plant as well as during execute.

ONLY thing good about it is that you aren't required to get a kill to stay alive; so you can res someone off-site for a 2v1 retake. But this is situational; and since it's the entire idea of Sage you might as well just make her heal stronger than the other alternatives by making it Clove but without kill requirement. Honestly Grim will be delighted.
