As she said, some things she shouldn't have to explain. So I'll say it for her. They were love at first sight and she does it all because she loves him. Low drama great teammate got your back. Accepts affection without freaking out. Understands without you needing to speak a word, down 4 whatever what more you need from a best girl bro? Then Ram cause hmmpf!

I heard that the reason they ended season 1 like that was because they didn’t know if they were getting a season 2. So they made it a happy anime-only ending. That’s why when they found out they were getting a season 2, they added an end scene to the directors cut.

They probably saw this a while back like they did with avatar, but interestingly enough, there's a new anime that basically summarizes this season and the last episode has an extra scene leading into season 2. I remember checking it because I couldnt understand why there'd be the same season on a different year. Edit: I just checked it again - The first season launched in 2016, but in 2020 (I didn't remember it was last year because I only watched this series last year) there was a 13 episode season 1 again. I mentioned summaries, but honestly I don't know if there was cut content or just joined episodes, since they have run times of about 50 minute each. In the last episode they added a scene that leads into season 2.

Betelgeuse unseen hands works based on how much he bites his hand, and he didn't die from what subaru wrote but from the protection on the carriage when he touched it's wheel (carriage are covered in this world by some kind of a magical barrier to ensure the passengers safety and he was already beaten up to death)

The coat with the cat-ears that Subaru is wearing when first meeting Emilia again, has a spell on it, which makes everyone not notice details about the person wearing it. It is the same reason Subaru doesn't notice he sits in a bar with an entire army of the girl who controls the cat-people. Also the same reason Emilia wears one in the start of the series, when going to the city, so people don't constantly point out she looks like the witch.
