SUMMARY
-Albert Einstein said that “Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.” In Math, 2 plus 2 always equals 4. Or does it?
-Be amazed as you see magic happening in front of you. You’ll see how a number picked at random turns into a number previously saved in a secret folder.
-Pick any five-digit number. You take your secret five-digit number and lose the first digit, then add 2 to the last digit. Now ask one of your friends or even your teacher to give you any number. Next, your task is to name a number, which will give 9999 if you add it to the previous number. Then, again, it is your friends’ turn to pick the four digits.
Once again, you name the next number. Remember it has to give us 9999 in the end.
Now let us put all the numbers together. There you go - we’ve got the number it all started with.

Interesting, though it can be made a little simpler. Instead of removing the first digit and adding 2 to your secret number, you can just remove the first digit. Then, instead of subtracting your friend's number from 9999, you subtract it from 10,000. It saves the step of adding 2 to your secret number. Either way you do it, all that is happening is that you are subtracting 20,000 from your secret number, and then adding 10,000 twice. So you take your secret number, subtract 20,000 in the beginning, then add 10,000 twice by combining your friend's two numbers with your two numbers. All you are doing, then, is subtracting 20,000 in the beginning, and then adding 20,000 back again through two steps of 10,000 each. That's how you can arrive at your secret number that you wrote down, you're just subtracting 20,000 and then adding 20,000.

That does work, but it is better to subtract 2 in the beginning because it makes the trick more impressive and also easier to do. If the person performing the trick needed each pair equal to 9,999, all they would need to do is subtract each digit from 9 for the other number (which would make the trick faster). Also, if the first number was just the secret number subtracted by 20,000, after showing everybody that you correctly guessed the number, they could examine it and eventually figure it out. The way Bright Side does it makes it seem as if it is a really complex and challenging trick.

Ik 2 other tricks for solving math questions. Switching the 2 numbers around when solving a percentage of a number gives u the same answer, for example, 42% of 50, flip them around so its 50% of 42. That question is now easier, its 21. Another trick is when doing a hard division question. For example, what is 12 ÷ 5? The answer is a decimal number but there is another answer that u can give. The other answer that u can give is 12/5 but youd write 12 with a horizontal line under it then the 5 under that. The line means the same thing as ÷ so that's how I got that answer. Just get the first number of the question, put the line and then the last number under the line. If u can simplify it down then do so, for example, 10 ÷ 5 = 2 but u can also have 10/5 as ur answer and u can simplify that down to 2/1. QUICK MATH!
