Dude, Mbt is the one looking up the packs. He always goes in with full knowledge, and Doug just has to go by whatever Joseph chooses to tell him. Joseph just admitted to straight up just not telling Doug about some of the crazy stuff in his pack.

Honestly if you don't run an insane amount of the big guys, which is what Joseph did, even basic AGs could probably beat spellbooks. Howitzer pass for 8 turns is basically an FTK against a deck whose biggest moster is a dark magician.

Yes, spellbook is more like an engine, its own archetypal guys aren't even that good and you definitely needs a lot of shit for it to work.

@@arobnugzo6818 it's not as consistent as the AG player opening fusions. Even if they destroy one howitzer you just summon gearframe with it so they can't pop it, then next turn use another way to fuse (Wyvern into spell, hound, or spell outright) to make another howitzer, crash into the priestess and make a golem in damage step. They can't stop howitzer, because he's u affected, Golem turns off battle traps and gets summoned in the damage step so you can't even torrential it.

If a pack is unplayable because of it lacking a key piece (Like Blue-Eyes or Polymerization or whatever) I think the person should be able craft some of the key card so there's less unplayable packs :)

Its odd that Dark Magician is in its own secret Pack as a UR but Blue-Eyes is not in the Blue-Eyes pack.

I feel like for an archetype build around a single card that's not in the pack like blue eyes you should just allow that card to be used. Like only if the whole archetype is build around it and it is only one card, but it is not like you're giving someone instantly broken deck by allowing a playset of a vanilla. You're just giving someone a deck.

Maybe it's worth to allow crafting one SR/UR card for a deck, OR two N/R, player's choice, so stuff that absolutely needs a piece to function is worth taking a risk on. And giving access to free cards like Blue Eyes, so more decks are playable.

I think a good rule could be if a pack is missing a key card (at most 3) that is not in the pact that is in archetype u can have 1 of it if its an non vanilla and a playset if vanilla (so free BEWD for BW but only 1 toad for frogs)

I feel like the Blue-Eyes pack should be allowed the 2 Blue-Eyes from the Dragon Starter Deck, since you guys allowed Poly to be used twice in this series Also Dark Magician is included in the Dark Magician pack. Blue-Eyes is in the Legacy Pack because it's in the Starter Deck (not a good reason, but it's at least a reason). Dark Magician does not have this problem, it is not included in any Starter Deck or Structure Deck. It is, however, unreasonably expensive like every anime protag deck (except I guess Utopia and Pendulum Magicians since they have Structures. I have no clue how many keys cards are missing, I think the Pendulum deck is missing Astrograph and Utopia is missing Astral Kuriboh for instance)

I WAS WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE! I LOVE the Ancient Gears, so to see MBT not only pull Wyvern and Howitzer from outside the back but to also grab their boss monster is immense luck that only he could get. Once I saw the "Gargantuan Gears" pop up, I knew it was over, in his favor. There were a couple of misplays such as MBT not going into Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem in Game 2 when he bricked, and it would've put up a massive body that floats into AGG and thinking Ancient Gear Drill is good when it really isn't (At least for the archetype, in limited its probably better) but it was a great episode

I'm starting to believe that Joseph being the one looking at the packs is giving him significant advantage. He just chose not to elude on some of the stuff in the Ancient Gear pack... Might be cool to have some more options to craft in this series. Something like if 1/2 of your URs/SRs were outside the pack, you can craft a single card. Seeing Doug pull 5 URs and only 1 was from the pack was painful.

Hi there! Just wanna say cool series~ I just wanna toss a idea to say in return of since it's master duel. A (by per 1 day of week) year long master duel progression series with however a chaotic rule. The rule is similar to this of roulette duel of not one, but 2 achetypes that however you are forced to pick upon those spins, and lastly a master duel packs. So 10 of one achetypes secret pack, 10 of the other choice, and lastly 10 of master duel pack oh, and bonus rule you cannot craft unless it's a card you can't get normally knowing somethings of this game. The other rules is what you can add. So yeah just throwing this idea~
