You obviously know, cutting that line with 20 feet hanging out of it's mouth ( Which would be most likely certain death ) You chose to do the right thing 👍👍👍 CUDOS BRO ! I live here in Florida and have probably hooked 20 plus Gators & for the most part they are only 3 or 4 feet long, so fighting them till they are tired is doable. Then you just reach dwn grab their tail gently step on their head & grab both tail and jaw... Cover their eye's with a rag & Retrieve ur hook or cut the line very short... Then take a pic & release 📷📷📷😝😝😝👍👍👍👍👍... Nice video thanks for sharing !

I hate it when fisherman say they caught a little fish when the fish is big as hell. Like I understand that it may be little to them but I know if i would of caught the first catfish he caught I would of been screaming and crying in excitement😂 but yeah

Jasmine Thompson depends on the area as well. People can catch 5 lbs bass average in oregon and people can catch 2 lbs average in boston
@navcop0316 жыл бұрын
And those flatheads can be over a hundred pounds. Especially here in Texas. 60-70 lbs is actually fairly common

Best bait I ever used was echrich beef bologna, it is hard to keep hooked when sliced, but you don't use a bobber, just right off a boat! By resting the pole over the side by no more than 2 feet and dropping it to the bottom then reeling it back up no more than 4"! Won't take but 2 minutes to get one and keep getting em all day and night long! I caught over 30 catfish of different types in a period one night between 10 pm and 2 am! This was lake Wawasee in Indiana in a channel on the north east side of the lake, one day I caught one so large I thought it was a log after a storm it was over 7" around and my friend at the back of the 16' pontoon felt a jerk and the pontoon started to move, he asked if I had one and said I thought it was a log. Then my 13lb test spider wire broke completely, I was using my 1960's hurricane pole! It was not a sturgeon "We had one in the lake that was over 8' long, but this had a head that looked like a log, channel cats get 6' long in that lake, it was old and slow, when I hooked him on a large hoop hook he lifted his head above the water as I pulled to hook him, but the resistance was heavy then it submerged and began to leave with the boat, me at 145 lbs, my friend at 325 lbs a 50hp new mercury and 50 gallon filled livewell! That is a lake to fish, I have caught Northern Pike 36" long at 45' deep in Johnson's bay, 2' perch in the same bay and Bluegills and Red ears that were the size of a 10" frying pan, which used to bed along the ridge of the bays entrance! It was five lakes which were flooded with a dam and became the largest natural lake in Indiana! In north Webster in my old channel you could pull in 3 peoples limits "75 total" of Crappie that were between 12"-14" long in a matter of 2 hours in the channel on the south west side of the lake by backwater rd! I even had a 4' muskie run into my jet ski between the two bays and lake it is a triangle for muskies!

iCar Net....that's what I thought too....I would have been terrified if I caught an alligator. I'm afraid that I would have thrown the pole in the water & ran!!
@emptyharder6 жыл бұрын
iCar Net gators are actually very shy of people. They only attack for defence and for food, and the gator definitely wasnt worried at all he was gonna be hurt

I was bluegill fishing in Livingston today. I was using a no. 6 offset hook, 6lb mono and a very cheap Shakespeare Navigator (2 piece, 1st time using it, brand new). My bait was red wrigglers. After unhooking one and re-baiting my hook, i got an instant bite. So I start reeling and my pole immediately bends. Like you I was thinking “what did I hook?!” I tighten up my drag, which took many turns on that spinning reel, and start fighting. When it finally surfaced, I saw the biggest, ugliest flathead I ever hooked. I was in a tight spot because I know if I pick it up out the water my pole will snap. But my net is about 15ft away on a picnic table. So I just go for it. I start lifting him up and my line snaps. Meanwhile, I had another pole rigged with a live bluegill on a 2/0 circle right next to me waiting on a bite…
