I spent a lot to time and money making crochet blankets also only to find my relative didn’t like it and donated it to Goodwill. I wish she had simply said she didn’t like it. I would have given it to someone who appreciated it or sold it.

The Tupperware mugs....the coasters are also tops for the mugs. We had those when I was a kid. Everybody had Tupperware and Tupperware parties. Those are 1960's colors.

Ahhh! That yellow quilt was beautiful! I'm in the hunt for another king's size bed quilt for our bed. The one that we have on our bed right now is looking tired and old. I also bought it at a second hand store about 15 years ago. I am so happy for you and Andrew for your new arrival princess! I'm sure that your big kids are excited to have their little princess sister to arrive! You two are so busy all the time! Agree and you can us a quilt in so many ways. I have them on the bed in summer in stead of a normal blanket when its too hot, in winter as an extra blanket when its very cold, as a picnic blanket, I had one as a tablecloth for my Christmas table this years, use them in the evenings if its a bit chilly. Lay them on the ground to let the baby play on.The children use them to make a tent with oh,a quilt is a very useful thing!

I love art pottery too and I'm always a little frustrated that it doesn't do well. The weed pots always sell for me, anything you can call 'brutalist' does okay and some potters hold value, but overall I think it's still a market yet to be appreciated. Also loved the paper tablecloths! Amazing to think they survived all those years.

I go the Goodwill here quite often and never find anything. There are no sets of china, no figurines worth a crap, no treasures of any kind in the household goods area and that includes paintings of any kind. The only things that I have found there are clothes items. Some suits that have re-sold for pretty good money. A vintage silk dupioni formal wear outfit, that I took apart and remade into a little girls formal wear dress. As it was it would not have sold. But someone I know says that there is an America´s Thrift Store in a town near me that has some good items pretty often. She got a pair of salt and pepper shakers that are worth $200.

@@kristysantiques14 I tried to get my son hooked on this when he was really little. But he took a different turn. I’m a little jealous you get to do this with your daughter. I have a little grandson so maybe when he gets older he’ll like to go thrifting with his granny.😊 I think I sold mine on the low side despite the damage but because I had gotten it so cheap I figured I could pass it on. I’m guessing that the person who bought mine fixed the chip that was on the rim, since it was pretty minor. And I’m guessing once repaired, they could sell it for twice what I sold it for. I think it’s called something like Galaxy or some thing celestial themed. It’s really pretty.

@@kristysantiques14 if you price everything as low as possible, you are basically lowering the value of the item and ruining it for the other sellers too. I mean, if it sells for $200, then don’t price it at $100 then, for example. I highly recommend you price it according to it’s proper value, it’s better for everyone. :)

I get what your saying but to me it’s only materialistic stuff and a hobby. I’d rather people enjoy the items I pick up at a decent price then have them sit for months.

I had a crazy experience watching this video. It was just after you were looking at the Christmas mice. It made me think of a nativity set my grandmother gave me when I was a kid, I still have it somewhere but as I recall at least once piece is broken. No sooner had that though entered my head when you picked up (But did not comment on) what looked to be the same set!

I inherited a bunch of Tupperware which sat in my EBay store forever. I priced it well but nothing moved. Donated it all to Goodwill. I soak my items in warm water that way the stickers or tape comes off without damaging the item. Hope you give us a peek into your new “old” house & how you decorated with your collections.
