One of the best beach vacations I've ever had was during a January. It was cold and stark but very beautiful and relaxing. Mainly just locals and tons of shells were there. I needed to get away after having houseguests from Thanksgiving through New Years - the in-laws.

Taco, don't scrap that long handled spear - you can use it for a prepping tool, for ice fishing besides other uses. The knife alone on there is worth over $100.

Not my idea of fun but our cousin had to pick apples last week! Bags of apples that they did not want the grizzly bears to come and eat! Her son has a few grizzly bears on his 15 acres and that fruit was not a great thing to entice bears into his living area. I got 3 bags made 3 pints of applesauce and a huge apple crisp. We are up near Glacier National Park.

I grew up in Ohio, the land of Johnny Appleseed. My aunt had a few apple trees in her yard and we were blessed with her homemade apple sauce, apple crisp, apple butter and of course apple pie.

Thanks for the squirrel update! Squirrels in my neighborhood are suicidal! They run in front of all cars and mess with drivers. I used to try and stop, but now it's every man/rodent for him/herself!!

I remember when those Matador pictures were in style . My Mother had one hung in our family room for years ! 😂 Good picking today and a great day for it .

I remember the Matador picture, too! Back in the day, grocery stores gave cardboard prints of paintings with your purchase. We had the matador, a flamenco dancer, a Goya print of a little boy with cats and birdcage, and Blue Boy by Gainsborough. I think having them hanging in the house had a part in why I love to visit art museums to this day!

in my area you only put out garbage and recyclables. You have to take everything to a transfer station. People put out stuff for free but nobody takes it. Great grill cover.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again - wow, the amount of garbage you're allowed ti get rid of in Pennsylvania!!! I'm shocked!!! In Ontario, Canada, if I have more than 2 bags/bins (which is taken every other week), each extra bag costs a tag worth $2.75...and if there is heavier items that won't fit in a garbage bag (ie.furniture), then younhave to contact the deposal company at least one prior to arrange for them to pick it up...geez!!!
