Hi Justin, its interesting watching you fix a mill. You did a wonderful job fixing it, too. What creek was the fish in? The water was so clear. At first I didnt even see the water. Lol. You never got around to telling us where you disappeared to. I'll be waiting patiently to find out, only if you want to. Hugs to you and the girls.

Dang, I had no idea that job was so time consuming. Very interesting work. I hope this doesn’t embarrass you too much, but I wanted to tell you I love seeing you wear overalls. It makes me smile. That’s all my uncle Jim (my Mama’s brother) wore his whole life. He died two years ago from leukemia. He was a cattle farmer all his life. Country as cornbread, one of the most kind and funniest men you could ever meet. He came to the funeral home when my Daddy died 12 years ago dressed in a pair of jeans and a button up shirt. I almost didn’t recognize him since all I had ever seen him wear is overalls. Mama gave a pair of his old, worn out overalls a few weeks ago. I have an old black and white picture of my papaw (my Mama’s daddy - who died when she was 13 years old) he is wearing overalls.

It sure is Beth. I have worn overalls my whole life. My stomach don’t work right if ai don’t have them on. Thank you for sharing this with us. Glad to hear that you enjoyed.

Another good video Justro, thanks for taking us along. There's a big difference in furrows in that mill and the one you posted a couple of weeks ago. When and how do you dress them? Your next one looks like my mill. I've been wondering about making a bottom cleanout plug. With that metal case on the one in the video, that would have been easy in the design, I wonder why they didn't?

Justin, you are such a blessing! I'm glad we have you. I just purchased a home 1976 stone mill. Watching this, I realized it might be needing some attention. What would you suggest my first step be? Well, besides cleaning it up? The case looks sturdy, but, she's been through some grinding times. 😆

An interesting video...what a time consuming task getting the stones to fit together nicely! Not having any idea about such machines this is all new to me so thank you for sharing. The start of the video with the fish in the pond or stream was good too...the water was so clear. What kind of fish were they. Do you catch them to eat?
@metcalfmills567910 ай бұрын
Hey glad you enjoyed it! It was trout in a mountain river. Yes they are good to eat. Thank you!

That water was so clear and full of fish. Was it local. And I wanted to ask you do the stones usually as a rule wear them same or is one sometimes more wore than the other. Thanks. Good to see you back. Love u and the girls.

It is about an hour away. On the vertical mills they wear very uneven because of the nature of how they work. I will explain that sometime. We love you too❤️
