Rent a house? A clue that no one is selling. Is this a way to get people to provide rental income to the owners of the properties, who are the younger generation and work somewhere else? How come the 10M illegals coming to the US didn't know about these opportunities in Europe? I stayed one week in a Italian village on a hill. Very memorable. Saskatchewan. I could live there, but I don't know anybody there. I'm good at shoveling snow. The problem is that the national governments favor businesses that are in population centers. If you are a small business outside of these centers you are ignored.

They often only give that stuff to people which wouldn't need it anyway, or if you have a trade they need + are fluent in the language. In Italy they basically want often want prove of your wealth, if you provide it then they say "YEAH! Si, si, come here :) And let us tax your wealth, oki? (:" - So you pay like 800 Bucks a month and get 800 bucks back from then, but they can use your 800 Bucks for Stuff and write off the 800 Bucks they give you as wellfare expanses for which they get more from the State. It's kinda like those cheap houses in Italy; they either have such strict restriction in regards of renevotions that you already have to be rich to afford that or at least have enough money to basically do nothing else. Edit: Also, in Italy, they wont speak englisch in those small villages. They ain't. So you have to be fluent in italian, not "learning".

@@DaroriDerEinzige It's really stupid, the rest of Norway are forced to pay just so communes up north can continue to exist in unsustainable ways. That money are not conjured from thin air, it's provided to those communes that are economic drain on the rest of the country from the communes that are economically successful. If a commune can't justify it's existence then it shouldn't exist in it's current form, if a nation is to be prosperous and provide free healthcare and education it needs to adapt and survive or it will implode, as we are seeing in Norway right now.

We are constantly told how the world's population is too large, and soon there won't be enough food or a place to live, and here it turns out that it's all lies. The big cities may have a lot of population but in other places they try to encourage people to move and live there. We must never believe those who try to scare and oppress us.

It’s very sad to see those old Italian towns crumbling. You’d have to be pretty young and in very good health to attempt to live in such underserved areas. I live in rural Maryland on the Eastern Shore where the nearest town big enough to accommodate a Walmart is 45 north in Delaware, or bout an hour south. The govt has these programs to take in immigrant doctors, they have to do three yrs here, then they get their citizenship n typically move away, leaving us to a constant revolving door of doctors. Seems the docs that remain here are rejects that couldnt get hired by big city hospitals, so ppl typically end up driving 1.5hrs to Baltimore MD or Wilmington DE for top notch healthcare. All this n more would be far more scarce, but definitely worth it for a young zealous couple. I def would not want to relocate to these villages as a single person. Anyway, nice widow’s peak, Steve. Where’s the kitty???
