I mained the hunting horn in Rise. I am so sad to see its mobility and speed reduced in wilds. Hopefully there will be something else that keeps it being totally awesome, and hopefully it still has the sonic armor buff. I loved using that to face-tank monsters with a life steal and intrepid heart build.

Coming from World to Rise I though the horn felt way weaker. It swung quicker, sure, but the damage, stun potential and melody variety per horn took a nose dive

I found that by spamming the silkbind attack that added flat damage per hit and spamming the breakdance move you output a LOT of dps, support, and part/exhaust damage. I loved it, but I can see why others would enjoy a more methodical, hard-hitting style.

Lol, true for some HH loadouts using the "Egg" or "Bead of Resonance" Silbind However! That's not all what Rise did for HH using Silkbinds. The game retooled HH to be more fast paced when playing songs and giving out buffs while still attacking the monster. VS having to stop and play a piece in the middle of a fight, leaving yourself vulnerable to monsters and lowering your DPS (HH in World was 2nd only to lance in lowest dps i believe). It was a nice change of pace for some, like myself. But for others, like my good HH loving hunting friend, they missed the OG HH style. Which wilds looks to be bringing back! I just hope there is a optional play for Rise style of HH. Perhaps less powerful buffing in that style in exchange to keep up with monsters (like Rajang for example.... ;D)
