If I were to ever have a cameo in a film just to die, I’d either get eaten by a t-rex, or I’d be one of those pilots in a Star Wars movie whose X-wing gets shot down and I get a brief shot of me screaming. Because you know that somehow somewhere that brief cameo role is gonna have a backstory in the Star Wars extended universe.

When Roger Ebert hated a movie, he HATED a movie. But the man also had a wickedly sharp tongue that was tipped with humor. And the reason why Leonard Maltin meeting his end by the gremilins is so great is because Gremilins 2 was created by competent film makers (Joe Dante and Steven Speilberg as EP) and because Maltin was in on the joke.

Two points on him not killing them. One doing this is clearly the greater insult. Not that he thought of that. Two dead men can not be parodied. If they are dead they can not continue to be incompetent idiots to be pointed and laughed at in the myriad of sequels up to Godzilla 6. (during which he would butcher every single monster in the Godzilla canon.)

I seem to recall seeing an ad ragging on the '98 _Godzilla_ movies 'Size does matter' tagline with an add saying 'Plot does matter.' The real irony is that the ad was for _Star Wars: The Phantom Menace_ which has about the same level of plot.

I actually didn't mind the US (God)Zilla movie, namely because it lead to the animated Godzilla series, which along with the animated MIB and Alienators (based off of the equally bad sci-fi film Evolution) were pretty awesome series to watch.

their is this old batman comic arc where the joker is committing film based crimes. as a gag he kidnapped siskel and ebert to rate his crimes. eventually the joker gets annoyed by them and gasses them and they laugh to death. even the comics had more balls to kill them.

To be honest, I kinda like Godzilla 98. It's just a meh movie. I honestly don't see how others rate it to be terrible. When I watched it for the 1st time on Netflix I kept thinking "Okay when does this got south?" And it never went there. If you're looking for bad Godzilla stuff then, watch the Netflix anime trilogy and Singular Point are just that. Godzilla shouldn't be boring.

The reason alot of people get mad is that godzilla is not supposed to be a force of nature. A monster that can't be harmed the weapons of man. In the 98 movie, they kill him with a missile. That would barely even scratch any other interpretation or godzilla. It's a middle of the road monster movie, but a horrible godzilla movie. It nearly caused an international incident with Japan. The quote I believe was that they took the "god" out of "godzilla".

With movie quality sound effects. Amazing. I seriously love your country for just that alone. Audio dramas are exinct. My grandfather use to listen to them with me as a boy and that was a treat.
