That Time Lynn Swann Jumped Over a Car

Watch as the incomparable Lynn Swann literally jumps over a car (Nov. 25, 1979). Throughout the '70s and early '80s, cars were constantly parked dangerously close to the end zone during games at Three Rivers Stadium as part of a marketing campaign.

I think the Steelers quit having cars parked in the area near the field after that incident.

They moved them back and kinda closer to the end of the sideline stands...they were there when the Saints won in 3RS in 1987.

The thing is those cars do absolutely nothing for marketing, promotion, advertising having those cars parked there. The ugliest cars at that. I think there were ones in San Diego during the Raiders 'Holy Roller' game.

Jumping over the trunk of a Dodge St. Regis (I think). Seems that the Steelers had some sort of a sponsorship deal with a local Chrysler dealer allowing those cars to be parked near the field at Three Rivers Stadium.

I was watching the game when that happened. Swann is my all time favorite player. If I'm not mistaken he was the first WR to be a SB mvp
