He didn’t even have 12 grand for a down payment and is accusing his ex for going after him for money… huh? What money 🤣

my Mom went through this with her sister in law. She paid her back a bit, then yrs later I got involved and I got her to pay every single penny back, even after my Mom died !

Great job, Your Mumma deserved to not have someone basically take her money and think it’s ok to just not give it back! Good for you for looking out for your mumma even after she had passed ( RIP to your beautiful Mom) , She would be so proud of you fighting for her !! Xoxoxo

I can't stand when people claim they are being harrassed, when it's only the lender asking to be paid back. If the Defendant paid back the money or kept to a payment plan, the Plaintiff wouldn't bother him at all. The Defendant also claims the daughter was the one to ask for the money, but he would have lived in the house as a beneficiary of that money. He has no defense.

This episode was from the good old days when judge Brown was kinda of Kool, now Hess total disaster! He's been arrested, sued, and in a lot of troubles. Money makes people do a lot of stupid things.

Hang on...they want to borrow money to put a down payment on a house so they don't have to pay rent? How does that work? Please, let me know. I'll buy another house and rent out the one I'm living in now.
@unapologeticallyamy90312 жыл бұрын
You can refinance your first home to get enough money for a down payment for a second home. You can rent out your first home.
@jenn61942 жыл бұрын
@@unapologeticallyamy9031 why would I do that? I own my home and pay only rates, not rent...by somehow making more money on rent, I automatically reduce my benefits, ending up with less than that with which I began...being content with what we have is far less stressful. I'm grateful for what I have and would like to enjoy it...a simple life makes more sense to me. I was being facetious in my earlier post..I'm so sorry if I caused offense.
@nanrobbins29162 жыл бұрын
When you pay rent the money is gone. When you own, the interest on the loan is tax deductable and you have an asset. Since you have to pay to live in a house, might as well be putting that money into your own pocket....understand now?
@debshaw6802 жыл бұрын
When we bought our house, we were paying $1200/month in rent. With a 16k down payment from an inheritance we weren’t expecting, we bought a house for $100k and our mortgage was $650/month. It’s almost always cheaper to pay a mortgage than rent, if you get a fixed rate, set term mortgage. Of course, my ex first repeatedly defaulted on the loan so I’d have to pay it and my own rent, then sold it out from under me. He destroyed my credit.

$100/mo interest on 12,000???? What year was this?
@debshaw6802 жыл бұрын
Looks like the late 80s and if you have great credit you get a lower rate.

Honestly unless there was a signed contract about the "interest" its not legally owed... however that 12 grand definitely IS OWED!!!

@rachelbarrett42062 жыл бұрын
If its a small claims case, $5000 is usually the maximum youre allowed to go for. Its varies from state to state ,if im not mistaken. Small claims is a cheaper option even though it isn't the full amount, you still have the opportunity to get the bigger chunk back and not be out as much on court fees
