Funny enough, people do a similar kind of thing in Disney World called Disneybounding. Anyone other than children cannot dress as Disney characters so that no one will confuse them with the cast members in the park. So a lot of people get around this by wearing regular clothes that are different enough to not be a costume, but still are designed to call to mind the character.

So, one of the reasons that this was important was that Clayton Moore didn't take his mask off in the show. After the show, he NEVER appeared in public without the mask, in order to maintain that mystique. When the lawsuit happened, a lot of people were furious because Mr. Moore had maintained this for so long and now that idiot was going to ruin everything that Mr. Moore had been doing to keep the legend alive for so long. The sunglasses were an epic troll and he continues to be my hero to this day. You never forget your first Ranger. XD

@@Eulemunin It's why I have a pair of prescription safety sunglasses for when I deal with factories. (I'm a semi truck driver, and some factories require them along with the hard hat and hi-vis vest). The only problem I have with my wraparound's is that they fog up when it's hot outside.

Wraparounds are highly practical... I have safety glasses in clear and in tinted that are wraparound. Very useful, cheap and solid, but they do not look good on me!
