They don't make them like they used to. Frank Sinatra was such a smooth crooner. This is before auto tuning. Artists had to be really able to sing. And the lyrics were clean, romantic & really meant something. He has a huge library of great songs.

With the legendary Count Basie and his Orchestra, one of the greatest names in jazz. It doesn't get any better than this. If there was a Mount Rushmore of male vocalists, Frank's face would be the first one they'd put up there. Before the Beatles, before Elvis, there was Frank. He came before all of them, and he stayed around making hits long after all of them. Here are several more Frank Sinatra classics to check out: "Witchcraft," "The Best Is Yet to Come," "All the Way," "Luck Be A Lady," "It Was A Very Good Year," "That's Life," "My Way," and the one you've probably already heard but didn't know it, "Theme from 'New York, New York.'" That oughta get you started.

The technicality of singers during that time was mind-blowing. The recording equipment in those days did not give the most crisp result. Singers had to be able to really project their voice and hold notes with a high technical degree. And yes, there are Sinatra fans still out there. I grew up listening to this in my grandmother's house and I still love to listen to him. He is also commonly known as "The Voice", "The Sultan of Swoon" (cuz girls would faint when he sang) and most popularly called "Ol' Blue Eyes"...............Okay, I think this officially makes me a nerd! This is my fourth time watching one of your reaction videos, I love how much you get into the music. This one is special for me, because the band playing with Sinatra is the Count Basie Orchestra, I always know when its Basie playing and if there is ever any uncertainty the last three chords on the piano is Count Basie's musical signature. In the 70s and early 80s we were next door neighbours and we became very good friends with Count (William) Basie, so much so that I called him Uncle Bill. Sinatra made four albums with Basie one of which was Frank Sinatra live at the Sands in Las Vegas, (The Music of Count Basie and his Great Band...and the Man Frank Sinatra). Please can you do I've Got You Under My Skin from that Album.

Oh yes, the band is the best of the best - That's the Count Basie Orchestra aka The greatest band in the land. The sweet trumpet that made you ask who's that is Harry "Sweets" Edison. Mr. Bill Basie is on piano. The arrangement for this song, an important element to every song in this genre, was written by Quincy Jones, who also worked with Michael Jackson many years later, among many, many other artists. This song is among Sinatra's best. Witchcraft & The Lady Is A Tramp are among my favorites, as is his fabulous version of Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. He also does an incredible duet with Ella Fitzgerald on The Lady Is A Tramp. Ella recorded an excellent version of the song herself, & together, she & Frank created what is arguably one of the best duets ever!! So very, very many more songs to hear. The Sinatra rabbit hole is one every music lover should jump into to. You'll be so glad you did!!

With all love to you, you will have a long, enjoyable gig as a reactor. There are so many of the mid-1900 musicians you have never heard!! Try Frank's daughter, Nancy's "These Boots were Made for Walking." Then go further back to the swing, and jazz, orchestras and singers. My father in law helped build up my daughter's leg muscles before she could walk by holding her upright on my in-laws' mattress and bouncing her while he danced to Glen Miller, and others. He actually got to see her walk after surgery at age 10.
