not one Utd player between nana and the opposition player either to push them out and away from the keeper? simple, basics, that's what these players lack common sense it's shocking, it's like they are kids need to be told everywhere they need to be on the pitch, how you play all your life and you can't figure shit like that out is beyond me. Even when we are overloaded in mid, defenders won't step out to make the 3 and when they do there is a massive gap, all it takes is for the other defenders to shuffle over to cover the gap. They all thick as f***, need 6-8 players who are intelligent enough and got the quality in order to be successful under Amorin. Another one from the game, Licha on the first goal, since when do defenders not get tight man-on and aggressive putting the striker off not letting him have a free jump and a go at the ball coming in? Grab the fucker and let him know he's not going to be able to get up for the ball without being sandwiched, that's stuff you learn as a kid playing football, again no common sense, these footballers today are successful because they can play a roll in a system, got no idea how to actually play football though if they had no system.

Amorim is about to have his first full week of training with the players. Honestly, the decision to extend Ten Hag's contract then fire him 2 months later, only to bring in Amorim with the intent to change the system during a run of 3 games per week is terrible management. Ineos was supposed to come in & fix what the Glazers had been doing for the last decade, but so far the decisions have not inspired confidence.

I was about to comment exactly this. Honestly they should have just kept ten Hag, or Ruud until the end of the season and then got Amorim in. If they really wanted to make the statement then getting rid of ten Hag, letting Ruud take over until the end of the season and then getting Amorim would have been fine. Not sure what they were hoping for here. I would still say this the Glazers’ mess entirely, but Ineos have done a chaotic and poor job trying to fix it so far. My only real hope so far is that they’ve somewhat admitted mistakes by firing ten Hag and Ashworth. They understand this is a much bigger overhaul needed than the Glazers and their muppets ever did, and are willing to look like fools in trying to fix it. Currently they’ve only got the looking like fools correct unfortunately

I am watching this from Spain being Dutch and see people reacting for years now criticizing players and or the manager. "It's Van Gaal, It's Mourinho, It's Moyes, or any player, it's Casemiro, it's Zirkzee, it's Bruno, It's Rashford, etc, etc, etc..." Now go for instance to Madrid and ask fans what they think of Casemiro. The reaction would be 100% positive. Great player, one of the best, etc... How is that possible? Well I know, it's not the manager, it's not an individual player, there is something completely wrong at the club and it's fans. They want to buy success, and then claim the cup with mercenaries and think they did it themselves. It's the soullessness, the attitude without love that is at the club and it's fans that is the problem. Big money destroyed professional football in general, but it's nowhere so obvious as at MU.

Then he's going to get sacked. We don't have the players for this system. We don't have the 10s, the wing-backs, or the centre-backs. Some of the players might be able to adapt, but you can't learn a radically different system in Premier League games. I can't see how this system will work without at least 5 new players and probably more like 7. A great manager should be able to look at whatever players he has and work out how to get the most out of them to win games of football. It doesn't matter if you've got the greatest system football's ever seen, if the players can't play it, you're going to lose and you're going to get sacked.

What I noticed Ste and I hope you can maybe take a look at it, the passing lanes we give eachother are awful, it’s always within a position where the only option is to go back? It’s really strange. The pass is never within flow of a run or within an area that allows us to pin the opponent to the space. It shows the hesitancy throughout the team and that essentially kills all flow and that’s why the attack is suffering. It’s like playing Pro Evo back in the day you have a maximum of 8 directions. Honestly awful.

U can tell that mainoo looks physically fatigued these last couple of games, it’s not fair on him that we can’t even rotate him for a half of a game without the midfield completely imploding. Zirkzee had a very poor game, but on a human level I really didn’t like to see the fans cheering his substitution. Idk how they’re going to do it but Ineos absolutely have to bring in some players in January to give this manager a chance bc he’s already starting to lose the confidence of some fans. I think there is an imbalance of strength in the squad currently. Amad is good but he's easily overpowered and pushed off the ball so that leaves mazraori open. Martinez is too small and bigger attackers are getting their head on the ball too easy and targeting him. Dalot on the left is also hindering the attack.
