What Eren did and will do is a self fulfilling prophecy. Eren was so cornered that he had no choice to do but to move forward and fulfill their fears to protect his people.

I love how everything about this situation is what Marley brought on themselves. Even at the end, with Galiard being so frightened at the thought that these HUMANS would go and try and kill them themselves instead of relying solely on Eren to do so. It's because they (MARLEY) have been sending over titans to terrorize them so much that they were FORCED to make titan-fighting gear and were FORCED to learn and adapt to fighting Titans their whole lives. They've never fought people like them, and the crazy thing is that MARLEY created the situation for those fighting tactics to exist to begin with. I love it
