We get two weeks of hot weather over a few months so no AC as it would only be on a handful days of the year. So imagine a pie in the oven. Then at night, the house is hotter than the outside and feels like the radiators are on but they are fully off. So all we can really do is open the windows and try to get a through breeze. And even this month of June. It dropped low enough to put the central heating on for a few days. The temperature goes up and down like a yo yo. From 10 or 11c for a few days then rockets up to the mid twenties for a few to five days then drops back down to the mid teens again for like 2 weeks.

Try it with no AC (most houses here are pretty old-fashioned) and a house specifically designed to trap heat. Also try an average British day without a massive coat. Normal climate is easy because your entire country is built around it and you're used to it. Abnormal weather is difficult. But nobody makes fun of the countries which struggle with cold or rainy weather, for some reason. We don't laugh at people from warm countries panicking over temperature below 10 degrees C. I wonder why we make fun of cold countries struggling with the heat, but not warm countries struggling with the cold.

Hey Drew, if you want to understand football better I'd highly suggest watching Ted Lasso. An American basketball coach gets hired to coach an English football team. It's at Sir Terry Pratchett (GNU Terry Pratchett. It's actually insane how good Croatia is at football. They came 3rd in the last world cup (lost vs Argentina, who won the cup), and 2nd in the one before that (lost vs France, who won the cup). Croatia's population is less than 4 million people. Compare that to Argentina (47 million) and France (68 million). The only country that has more success in the world cup with lower population than Croatia is Uruguay. Iceland, who managed to get into the world cup's group stage in 2018, and coincidentally got knocked out _by_ Croatia, also deserve an honourable mention though. While they have never gotten into the knockout stage, they have a population of less than 400,000, so even getting to the group stage was very impressive. They also got knocked out by Croatia in the qualifiers for the previous (2014) world cup.
