Nixon dismissed his Secret Service detail in the 1980's by saying he had outlived his enemies. Travelers were surprised to see Nixon flying alone on commercial flights and were delighted when he would stand up to take and answer questions about anything.

Nixon would have been a better Secretary of State. He was an expert on foreign policy. Domestic policy not so much. His thirst for power did him in. He did some great things while president. But also some awful and illegal things. He believed being president put him above the law. He was about to be impeached and resigned. Because Republican senators were prepared to convict him. It puzzles me that people consider the only president in our history. The one who resigned in disgrace. To be one of the greatest presidents.

I'd he hadn't taken the dollar off the gold standard he would be one of my top role models behind Ben Franklin and Andrew Jackson nevertheless his "temporary" removal has destroyed our economy, caused massive inflation (we changed the way we measure inflation like 20 times in the past 50 years so it's a shtt ton higher than we are lied to believe). According to Ben Franklin the interference in colonial currency by the British empire is the main cause for the revolutionary war they .(bank of London forcing currency acts on the colonies causing massive inflation and an utter decimation of the unrivaled prosperity the colonies had enjoyed prior to these acts). I do give him massive props for telling France and their war ship to F off and sent them sailing back home empty handed 😂😂😂

Nixon’s mistake was to sink to the level of the democrats, and try to do what they have done for decades, and got caught. The watergate scandal was much bigger than reported, because if it all came out, it would’ve been evident that the left was WAY worse. He shouldn’t have done what he did, but far worse has happened in broad daylight since then. Especially against Trump.

Because the woke crap started then. He had to govern when the worst generation grew up. A generation of parasites that never produced anything. A generation accusing the greatest generation for standing in their way, telling them it was time for the young people to get the good jobs. A large part were socialists or even commies. They adored chairman Mao. But immediately after they got to power, got the good, high paying jobs they all switched to being capitalists. Egotistical, not wanting to share anything, stayed in power almost to their deaths. Wich is happening about now. So this generation of educated people have been writing history and that's why many believe Nixon was worse than he actually was. Finally about the worst generation, I don't mean the blue collar workers the did their best I mean the deplorable "intellectuals".

If the president does it, that means it is not illegal - Richard Nixon. Everyone thought he was crazy when he said that and here we are today with the Supreme Court agreeing with Nixon. What an amazing country we will live in now

A great man, statesman , President. There will be no one better than him. Wish there was another man like him. He'd get the United States back to how it used to be.😊😊

I really need to do my research on Nixon but I remember from history class that Nixon had always failed but never gave up and he always try his best let's get past on what people say about him but I focus on everything that he has done to get to the point as president!!
