Walked into a random bar in southern Spain with mates in 2006. Place was empty aside for Warnie sitting at the bar. I won't say more except that it was one of the best evenings of my life. What a legend.

Yeah. I said on another post I'd never forgive him for dying on us. Then I thought, I lied. Now I realise, not even. Like always, there was never anything to forgive Shane Warne for. Even his mistakes were honest! Such a genius of the game. Such a great person. Such a tragedy that we have to live without him, already. I've had my heart broken before, I'll happen again, but if you'd have told me Warnie would break my heart this week when it started I'd laughed my ass off. You may as well say the moon would explode in fireworks or something. Yet again, Warnie did the impossible right before my eyes.

Watched the Warne documentary this week. Very, very good. It showed that even though his personal life was falling apart at times, he still played absolutely brilliant on the field. No wonder he’s one of the best players of all time. As an England fan I hated him when he was playing. As he was so good and was the difference in us winning or losing so many times.

Don't tar all men with the same brush.. I think perhaps what you mean is it's rare for a cheater to admit they caused a break up.. It takes a certain type of personality to cheat, and they usually aren't the type to accept any responsibility. Credit to Warne who clearly did some self reflection and deep thinking to get to a point of ownership..

As a Kiwi I used to "love to hate" Warnie as he had the power to rip a win away in just a few balls.! Being of the usual Aussie cricketer mould, he seemed arrogant and aggressive. Probably was at times. What really makes me love the guy is his contribution and growth as a person after the game. (But no doubt he was the best spinner to play the game, he just played for Australia haha) The guy was an amazing commentator, he clearly lived and breathed the game and his insights were the best of any commentator imo. After the game, you could really see how he grew as a person and this interview hints at that (he said he went through a lot in a short lifetime). I guess he was really just a kid when he started playing and rocketed to fame. Ultimately his honestly and humanity shone through. I read an article where someone had said Warnie would talk to the cleaner just the same as the CEO, I respect that immensely. Geez, I'm gonna miss him on the telly 😭😭😭 Go easy mate.

I’ve seen Warnie a few times off the field. Once was at an Elton John gig in Werribee just after he retired from test cricket. Second time he was with his son at a fast food restaurant, presumably on the way back from media duties at the cricket and lastly he came into a business in Brighton, I used to work for to buy some dvds or something. I never approached him because I wouldn’t know what to say, firstly, and because he just seemed like a regular bloke who is actually really humble, despite being the best bowler ever to play the game, and secondly because he was with his kids and trying to enjoy himself. He had people coming up to him during the Elton gig asking for autographs or photos and also at the fast food restaurant; I was ordering a hamburger and the guy behind the counter was completely ignoring me, staring at him (he was a young Indian lad, studying in Melbourne). I asked him if he had heard my order and he apologised to me and explained witnessing Shane in person was the best moment of his life because he is huge in India, on par with Tendulkar. When I saw him with his kids I got the same impression I got from his social media and interviews like this: he’s a great dad and humble bloke. And one hell of a cricketer.

A legend who left a great mark in Cricket. I'd like to share one thing, in here you can see at one point Warnie is a bit disappointed with the negative responses he received from some fans and media. it's natural to everyone and obviously anyone will not be happy . However by developing a perspective of "Momento Mori"- Stoic, know that you are gonna die, "Marana nussati"-Buddhism - Be death conscious; will be a great mental tool where you can easily ditch the trivial negative responses when it trouble you. It also redirect your focus on your core - in his case being a spinner with magical skills bring inspiration and entertainment to millions! Now to you who are reading this, apply that to your life too :)

Warnie is an ambassador of the great game. Having lived in the uk for 20yrs as an Aussie he’s very respected. Even in the greatest Ashes series in modern day cricket in 2005, he was respected by the English fans and continues to be. It’s a shame he never skippered 🇦🇺 or made a ton in test cricket 🤦🏼‍♂️ aside from the 708 wickets 👍👍👍 he set a standard, learnt the hard way and remains honest and loves the game but continues to want the best for the future. Having had a beer with him in London after the 2005 defeat back in the day he wore his heart on his sleeve then and continues to.

The guy never pretended to be anything he wasn't and was always brutally honest about his own failings. How many of the people hating on Shane could say the same? If you were watching cricket back in the 80's and early 90's, you will know that he changed the game completely. Every team was fast bowler dominated in that era and then along came Warnie in the early 90's. He is probably the greatest bowler of all time - certainly the greatest spinner. He bowled the hardest variety in the game and whilst spinning it prodigiously, he rarely bowled a bad ball. Every average spinner or batsman/part timer will bowl 'offies in the nets....no-one bowls leggies. There is a reason for that.... Shane was extremely tough on the field, but look at how many of his opponents have come out saying that he was always the first one to congratulate them on an innings well-played, or come and have a beer with them after the match. He was an old-school cricketer and just an all-round good bloke. He was incredibly famous for 30 years and had his life under a microscope. How many others would come out of that smelling like roses?? He was fallible, as we all are. But if you saw him play, as I was lucky to do many times....well that was something to remember and feel lucky for...

In 2005 shane warne was literally a one man army....it was England against warne...warne's performance in that series was absolutely breathtaking...the best I've ever seen a bowler bowl...not just a spin bowler but any bowler

Good Bye King! I will miss you and remember you till the day I die. You were a true Champion and one of the GREATEST! Thank you for the wonderful cricket memories. I grew up in the 90’s and watched legends play in their PRIME. You were part of a special group. RIP brother. God bless your children.. your family.

Always Loved❤️ Warnie bowl ,The greatest leg spin bowler of all time & my personal favourite one . Leg spin Bowlers will come and go but there will no other leg spinner like showman Shane Warne ,what a character he was .Once in a lifetime genius . Growing up Always enjoyed his great cricketing mind, skills and magic he created with ball ,an artist with the ball in his hand . Rest in peace .He will be missed forever .Evergreen Legend!❤️

Hate the guys commentary but am in awe of the guys dedication to the game and his outstanding honesty. The guy is one of the best thing in cricket. Hes willing and eager to teach the next generations whether its how to bowl ot how to be open and honest off the field. The guy made some mistakes, but as we see here, hes a great guy. Massive respect

This is a very good documentary. It shows the real Warne. I haven't been able to come to terms that he has passed away. I miss following him on social media. I won't be watching cricket this season. I can't imagine not having Warnie commentating 😪
