one thing i like about Mushoku is how Rudeus magic is most earth and water, most animes focus way to much on fire and wind. but Rudeus show us how practical earth and water are, he can just make things anytime he wants from a simple glass of water to way more elabored things like weapons, shelters and statues

A lot of the conversation with norn has been cut off...but at least the feeling remained. The part cut out is where norn sympathizes with rudeus, she really doesn't say much, just has a lot of thoughts, but after realizing some stuff, she them cries in his arms. The anime is really running fast in this segment, cause afterall it's the adaptation of the LN, cause the manga is not that far away from this point of the anime

I feel like the norn drama was a little bit forced, she was being a absolute nuisance just because the author wanted so and was hating Rudy for no good reason. It could have all been sorted out in a 5 min talk (explaining stuff like why Rudy was beating up Paul) instead of taking up 2 episodes, but it was a nice resolution regardless.

Didn't ruin anything. All we know about the two girls is that Aisha idolizes Rudy while Norn hates his guts. Then Norn is forced to stay with him, have everyone compare her to him and, in her mind she still sees him as the guy that assaulted her hero, her dad. She was like 4 when the mass teleportation happened, like 6 when he saw him beating her dad and THAT'S ALL of her impressions of him for what 4, 5 years? Extra details would have been cool but the anime had enough justification for her situation

Even in Real life, first impressions matters a lot. There are people that get a bad vibe from someone and just dont change their mind easily. Norn was a child when she first saw Rudy beating up the person she loves the most. Sure, a talk would be nice and all and resolve the issue to some extent, but the real reason she got over it is because she saw his actions rather than his words. The anime did a great job portraying this
