There is so much food in the US that most people very picky and don't eat just any fish. When I am fishing I throw back the fish I caught because none of my friends want them. However, people would buy the same type of fish that I caught from the supermarket because they are already cleaned and ready to cook.

@Doromir They're a bony fish as well. You can't really get a fillet off of them. They also taste worse than native fish because they "sift mud". Not bad in taste, but who's going to buy them to eat when they can buy something that tastes good?

Well, they were saying in the video there's a small market for these fish, just not enough for big fisheries to get in the mix and go after em. They also said the carp is here to stay, so if you want to help out, buy a asian carp and eat it, I guess. That way more fishermen will be happy to catch em and sell em to you. Helps the economy. Helps the carp problem. Especially if experts think they aren't going away.

When silver carp get excited and jump, they also start bleeding out through their gills. In theory, if you kept pissing them off, they would keep bleeding, and eventually their tissue would become hypoxic, then they would die. Would be an easy way to kill tons of them and get them out of our waters.
