Styrofoam makes printmaking a snap. Believe me I hated linoleum with kids. But it was all we had way back then. Great Vid and lesson.😀😀😀

I am planning on doing a printmaking unit this year with my students and am interested in doing it with styrofoam! About how many quality prints can you get before the styrofoam loses its sharpness?

You can get many, at least five in one session. It’s gets a little wonky if you wash off the ink and then print a second time, but that still works too!

Use Silly Winks white foam or any craft foam. Instead of redrawing the image on the foam simply draw it in pencil on a piece of paper. then flip it over and rub it onto the foam, the image will transfer. And, if you've used any lettering it will be reversed on the foam like it should be for printing.

Mine does that too sometimes! Maybe more ink? And burnish with the palm of your hand or a wooden spoon when printing
