Great to see ya back. Missed your streams mate . Hope that you have been well. Great stream. Not my sort of bike but i am looking for a change so lets see. I do like thew look of the new Honda Transalp 800 but it out of my price range . I have 3 bikes at the mo an old CBR 1997 1000F ,Suzuki Bandit 1200 in mint condition with only 20,000 miles . An old FJ1200 1993 tidy but still a good ride.
@thatbikersimon11 ай бұрын
The Transalp 800 would be a good bike to test ride. I still like the idea of something a bit lighter to ride some lanes on. You’ve certainly got a good bike collection that is going to be timeless no over complicated electronics to worry about and bring as much fun as any new bike for sure.

Need a direct feel comparison between the Multi V4s and this one Simon. This one is 25bhp less and 25nm more than the Multi. Since you own the Multi, please post differences between the two bikes ride, suspension and power modes. Does the GS have the electronic preload adjustment like on the Multi? Can the power modes be tweaked like on the Multi? Details, Simon details are required 😊 Multi V4s owner here too. Thank you.
@thatbikersimon11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comments and yes there’s a lot to consider and compare but unfortunately I didn’t have enough time with the bike but il be sure to do another later this year that’s more detailed because both the bmw and Ducati are top competitors in this. 👍🏍️💨💨💨

@@kurushunwalla I would probably need more time on the BMW to give a best opinion and comparison on both bikes, but in sort I wouldn’t be sell my v4s for the bmw purely because I prefer the sporty engine in the v4s and its handling. The BMW would probably make a better touring bike but I’ve never really been a fan of the boxer engine. That’s not to say it’s a good engine it’s just not my style

I am off there tomorrow mate to have a look and book a test ride. Nice to see they have a good selection. Then off to look at the Ducati V4S I am torn between both off then 🤔 hopefully a test ride will make my mind up. Just a bit worried because the 1300 is all new is there going to be teething problems to iron out recalls etc 🤔 but also you can pick up a good deal with the BMW1250🤔 Thanks for the video 👍👍
@thatbikersimon11 ай бұрын
It’s a tough decision they are both amazing bikes. Saying that you would get a great deal on second hand v4s or a 1250. For me the V4s had got the more sportier feel, I guess ultimately it comes down to what you intend to use it for.

My problem is that i wanted a MT10 but the bike was to tall . I am 5-8 and struggle with the adventure bikes . Not the ride but moving them around. Any suggestions ???? That motor assist is just a game changer .May be a second hand buy for the furure .

My dads about the same hight and he’s got his bmw 1250 down to about 780mm his feet are flat down. The new bmw also can have a lower seat and it’s probably worth considering the triumph 900 low version. I think manufacturers have realised we’re not all over 6ft tall and have adapted these bikes to suit all.
@Costema3711 ай бұрын
Does the lower end torque in this bike loads more than a V4S? Why are you changing the V4s? I only ask because I’m thinking of getting a Pikes Peak, which has the same engine but is considerably more expensive than the green GS1300. I don’t go off road.
@thatbikersimon11 ай бұрын
I’m still undecided about the multistrada I guess the main reason I want a change is because I just fancy a different bike to try. I’ve been really happy with the V4s and il probably regret it after selling it. I do intend to do some off road riding so it would probably be a down grade on price for me. Unfortunately I can’t afford to have another bike sat in the garage not being used. So it’s a difficult choice to make because theirs some many things I need to consider. The pikes peak is well worth a look and now Ducati have introduced the RS there will be a few pikes peaks up for sale. For me the RS is out of my salary grade but luckily my buddy has bought one so he might let me have a go lol. Good luck with your choice and ride safe 👍🏍️💨💨💨
@Costema3711 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reply. I looked at the PP again today it looks stunning. It was sat next to the RS, tbh i preferred the look of the PP. The RS does have more power but high up the rev range. So for me and £6k than the PP it too much. The impression I get from people and I the Ducati dealer is it’s just different not necessarily better, that is a person choice which I agree with. I’m not convinced that many will part ex there PP. I just need to ride a MS V4s to get a feel for the engine before I go for the plunge. Whatever next bike I go for I need to want to use come the nice weather not just leave it in the garage and keep using the Goldwing, I love that bike. I did look at the 1300gs today, a lovely bike the green one. But I not as stunning as the PP. if it goes as good as it looks then I would have mode the right choice. Still not 100%
@SP-xd8gs11 ай бұрын
I had a 1250 gsa swapped for a standard multi v4s, then swapped that for a new pikes peak added full akra system to it, now im about to trade that in for the green GS1300, (also had an RS on order but its too much) im probably making a mistake trading in my PP maybe ill just add the 1300 and pair it with the PP, I dont know!!! @@Costema37

Hi Simon, bloody good video mate thanks for that. Im thinking of going for the Ducati multi v4 rally this time, having owned 7 gsa s in the past. Knowing you ride a multi mow, what is you thoughts on that? would you go for the Multi Rally or are you thinking the GS is a better option? Thanks again Foz
@thatbikersimon11 ай бұрын
Hi, for me personally I would stick with my Multistrada purely because I like the power delivery and handling of the Ducati. The rally option would be a good choice because of the 30L tank as you probably know the fuel range isn’t the best on the multi. The only think I will say is the rally will seem top heavy with all that fuel at the top compared to the low down weight of the gsa. It’s a tough decision because both bikes are amazing and capable of doing the same job. I guess ultimately your going to have to ride them both and make that decision. Let me know how you get on. Ride safe 👍🏍️💨💨💨

I’ve watched a lot of reviews of this bike and everyone is the same, they say how much torque it’s got yet proceed to drive it around in third or fourth, then they accelerate and say’wow’ well most bikes do the same thing, get it top gear then see what it does, it suppose to tour then do it at speeds you would do, I bet you don’t get in your car and drive it in 3rd gear all day, ok I’m ranting but is that how everyone rides these days?
