Large tires are great for ground clearance but that's about it. Smaller tires make a DRAMATIC difference in the torque the machine has! I had a 440D with 18.4X26 tires and it would out pull 540B with 23's all day long.

yeah that backup alarm is annoying. i agree about disconnecting it cause how blatenly annoying it is however i agree that it shouldn't be disconnected. wish they weren't so annoying. my dads cousin was a paraplegic and he had a hand control hydrostatic that he hit a bump and fell off backing up while mowing and got run over with blades running and got killed. no seat sensor. so be careful out there

With the older skidders why couldn't you just remove the grate and alleviate the vision problems with them? I would want to think that you have the Lexan 'window' and the grate bolted to the window frame. It must not be possible because you would have already done it.

The first number is the overall height. So, the newer machine has tires the are 5" shorter than the older one

Bigger pulls moved easier because of smaller tires. Yeah geometry sucks sometimes. :-) When he is high centered that extra 2.5 will matter. For sure !

Back up alarms are for people like me and if one day I get up there I'm going to be mad if I found out you unhooked it. Not only that but you could be potentially reported to OSHA. So I'm going to ask you nicely please do not unhook that. Also you have no problem with your cat fellerbuncher having one. That shouldn't even be an option to unhook those. They should make them so that thing won't run unless you have that hooked in.

Well first of all because of my disability I cannot operate any equipment like that. Secondly even if I could it still wouldn't bother me because I know what the thing is designed for and I know that it could potentially save someone's life. And that takes presidents over whether it's a little loud and annoying at least to me. Not only that but I like the sound of back up alarms because usually they're attached to something awesome.me.no

Well I just want to tell you something about not having Greens on your windows you're a nutcase I mean the ones I've ran you pull a couple of bolts out open it up clean them off otherwise I get all scratch all up and you can't see nothing it just takes a few minutes to take a couple of bolts out glass cleaner and some good towels to clean them off put the couple of bolts back on and you're good to go you get them scratched up you can't see anything out of them when the sun is glaring you might as well take the windows out come on man
