We owned Awesome Set of 1970 Boss 302 Mustangs parked at church wedding 1975, one 'school bus yellow, ' competition gold, the other, grabber green. We tire out in the gold, sideways, boiling smoke, slamming thru gears, Hurst shifter. Folks stood on curb, drop jaw, in awe. For us, Nothing compared to the fun thrill of the 1970 Boss Mustangs. You must experience the drivers seat to understand the sheer joy, and feel the powerful loud sound, unique roar, rumbling intimidating growl. I own a ‘13 GHIG Boss 302 (#2962). It’s a great car. Ford invited Boss owners to drive the GT350 on the track when it came out a few years ago. It is also a great car, just more refined in the suspension and transmission. While I loved the flat plane crank, I felt somewhat insulated from the car. I’d love to own one, but I prefer the ride, handling, and overall experience of the Boss. I feel like I’m part of the Boss and love it’s sounds and vibrations up through the shifter. I felt like I was just IN the GT350, but not part of it. Two similar yet very different cars and both very enjoyable to drive. Pick your preferences! I’ll need to drive the new Mach 1 to see how it compares. I fell in love with the Boss back in ‘69-70, so buying a ‘13 was a no-brainer for me. After 4,900 mIles and many smiles, I can tell you that I have had the radio on exactly 5 times. But then again I didn’t buy it for the stereo. It plays it’s own music.

The foglights circles are removable for better air flow. Remember this is basically a track car. And on the seca model you don’t get a roll cage but, you get rear brace bars instead of the seats.

Love it. One of my all time favourite Mustangs.

I currently have a 2022 bmw M4 comp. Which is amazing. However, I miss my 2012 Boss 302 due to the “fun factor”. I will add shortly a Boss to the family once again l. Should have never gotten rid of it.

Still a Dream Garage car in red or black with the leguna seca package 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Just an FYI, Laguna Seca edition does not have a roll cage. It does have rear seat delete, which shows off the cross brace on the back wall, unique wheels, wing and aggressive front splitter.

This Boss 302 is GREAT. I think you would enjoy reviewing a stock 2012 2013 Boss 302. It will provide a VERY unique experience you have not had yet. Don't get me wrong, I love the mods on this Boss :D But the stock one is different enough to also be worth your time and review.

The lacuna seca didn’t come with a roll cage, it just came with a rear seat delete and a x brace for added stiffness. The fog lights aren’t there because the black pieces pop off for added air flow when on track.

It’s one of those cars like the AE86 Corollas, it might not be the most refined, but it grabs your soul and makes you enjoy the sublime moment of connection between man and machine. Love mine.

These cars are so cool; rear exit exhaust AND sidepipes, removable faux fog lights for better cooling, and special recaro seats.

I had one and it was a fun car to drive, one issue I had was it was constantly wheel hopping. I wasn't a fan of that live axle at all, still I think these are the best looking generation of mustangs.

The perfect street Mustang. Tons of character from the stick axle/V8/manual, the stoutest Coyote variant, corner-loving suspension and timeless S197 body style. Topped off with those eye-catching graphics. But maybe owning one has made me biased...

The 13-14 body is one of my all-time favorites, especially the GT500, but at the same time its interior is also one of my least favorites. The S550 is just so much nicer inside. And thank you to the owner for his service.

I own 2 13 Grabber Blue and a 12 Comp Orange incredible cars I have done many 90 degree turns at 90- 100+ miles in hour lateral g's for this car is 1.3 to 1.5 as far as data I've been looking at no car in 2020 can do this correct me if I'm wrong. Put forced induction in it and it does mid 10s to me this makes this the best bang for the buck car to have a versatile car drag strip and road course.

I have a 13’ Boss in race red. 18k miles, cherry. Fair weather car only. S197 was the last of the muscle car look. All the newer ones are like euro cars now. The Boss is raw, obnoxious and the most fun I ever had in a car. I’ll never get rid of it!!

Great review David ....nice to see some love for the boss👍 I bought my 2012 low mileage race red boss 2 years ago from a Florida dealer.i like the 2012 body style more than the 13 cuz I think it looks more agressive. Gonna keep it til I croak . I know I would get my ass beat at the strip or on the track by newer muscle cars but I don’t care cuz I didn’t buy it to race ....It makes me feel like I’m driving a 60s/early 70s raw muscle car . Interior is plain like the old cars. Manual adjust recaro seats 4 speaker base stereo sounds plenty loud and has an aux in. No track apps But don’t care cuz I wud never use them ..I have the red key and it shakes at stoplights from the Lopey idle.i keep the baffles in the side pipes and sounds mean as hell but quiet around the hood...too loud and raspy sounding for me when they’re removed.and I love that I never see any other bosses around town cuz they only made 4000 of my body style for 1 year ....its my extra car. so only gets driven once or twice a week I plan on taking it to car shows and cruise nights when pandemic is over.

I love that Mustang. Had a chance to grab a "Laguna Seca" edition when it hit the market, but it couldn't be registered and driven on the streets of CA. I still wish I had taken the deal..
