2.0 is a closed deck vs 2.3 so its better suited to handle more boost/bigger turbo. Most swaps will use the 2.3 head w/ the 2.0 block for better head flow and stronger bottom end.

The bottom ends for both blocks ar the same strength. This issue of 2.3 is the casting of the block its self is not a strong from it open deck design. Had a 90 Z24 that had the 3.1 liter 6 in it & a 5-speed. It was fairly quick (BITD) as long as you could control the torque steer. Beat many muscle cars that weren't expecting it be as quick as it was. ...and either did that Turbo Coupe T-Bird , but it was me who was surprised. Now, in an actual 1/4 mile I had him, but that next 1/4+ mile he was GONE !

Might sound funny, but this might be one of my favorite mustangs I've ever seen

As someone who also owned a Focus ST for a while, most of the problems stemmed from the drivetrain and not really the motor itself. The trans was terrible, torque steer sucked, and axles snap when you do get traction and make any power. After seeing this I’m definitely tempted to do a similar swap in something.

This is actually really cool, i love the boost from my sisters eco boost ranger😭. So putting something similar in a tinier car would be awesome

Lighter more balanced to boot. Very respectable. When these came out, many had wide body.and testarossa, coke bottle body kits on 315/50 ZR tires with purple under glow with neon tubes including neon plate frames. Yes that was a thing including the 25,000 volt neon transformers.

My friend and I built a track car out of my 1972 celica parts car. We put the 2.3 ecoboost into it. We were the first guys to swap a 2.3 ecoboost into something. But having each having our own growing family’s and buying/building houses it’s taken a while to get the car going. So we are probably the last ones to get it running 🤦♂️. The car is highly modified. It’s getting tuned this week.

Thats a good looking car. It’ll look great painted. The matte looks good. He should do it full matte.
