My problem with the new NFS is the drifting is like a snapping action. Its not a free movement. Its a lock movement. You are either straight, or drifting. No in between. Its really frustrating to play that game

To me this is a game with terrible driving physics and a bloated amount of races that are all stupidly easy to win. It's artificial difficulty comes from just having to grind through the same dull races over and over just to make money and get XP to unlock parts and to buy new things. I'm currently level 42 and I don't want to go on any further as I'm bored out of my mind. Also I've not even had any reason to buy other cars. The second tuning parts came up for the BRZ I bought them and have always been so much faster than everyone else.

The driving physics are horrible, sure, the game has its flaws, but the handling its atrocious, the cars feel heavy and random, the delay and the fucking driving assists are way too powerful to even be enjoyable, I always find myself STRUGGLING to keep the car straight, no matter what tunning you do, and when you found that sweet spot and the car starts to be drivable then magically the games fucks it up because some eldritch reason, its even worse than NFS: MW2012 or Rivals, the handling is fucking subpar

+MrAncop I say something about the physics on their Facebook and get all those fanboys who say that it's good or perfect and I just suck and that I'm not tuning it right. I've been playing racing games for at least 12 years now. I know how to drive in games. I know how to drive in real life. I know how to tune (for the most part) in video games. I can't get my car to drive straight in NFS2015, and I can't hold a drift to save my fucking life. I had a 1990 Miata for a year, and the game makes it seem like it'd be impossible to drive, even stock. But I abused the shit out of that thing and it was always responsive and was never a bitch to handle. Same with my NC I recently bought. I know that they don't have one in NFS, but they have the ND and that thing is also impossible to keep straight in NFS, but in real life I can keep my NC straight even at 110 mph. It's not difficult but the driving physics in that game are by far the WORST I have ever dealt with. I get that it's arcade, but Jesus fuck. Hot Wheels Turbo Racing had way better driving physics than this. Even Super Mario Kart.

There is a mod for PC that turns the game into day and I could tell you it looks bad. The reason why it is always night is because so it can hide all the details in the distance. The trees aren't render right or the mountains. It is basically to hide all that. But it gets you to wonder did they intentionally did it on purpose because it is a night setting all the time and that was the focus from the beginning or did they get lazy and said fuck it.

they did it to make the game run better, i tried the day settings aswell (they look alright imo) and there's an option in the mod to increase the LOD and it makes the game stutter alot. ghost games know what they're doing.

But from the lets plays of the other games I can really see how a car handles and it's very obvious when it's completely fake looking. But as for a game that looks like it handles realistically enough, I would have to play it to see if the "feel" is good enough. Makes me want to try and get every single NFS game to test them out... I hope you´re joking. Hot Pursuit 2 doesn´t even has visual tunning except for painting. And The Run only has two or three bodyworks available. Underground 1 has a lot less options than Undreground 2, that´s why is part 1 and not part 2 haha, Carbon came with a lot of stuff, but you can´t add neons or trunk customization, not even headlights. MW was good at police pursuits, and car variety, but not customization. In fact, the customization level has been dicreasing dramatically since UG2. Sorry for my english !

Horizon 3? I'm sooo hyped! I can't wait for the devs to not listen and give us nothing that we want! I'm so excited to NOT race in Japan and to NOT drive an s14, but to get "expansions" like the Porsche expansion! Who needs Wild Run's different specs, summit events, updated graphics, physics, and sound design when I can get lots of Porsches! Driveclub's season pass is now a hefty $13, totally not worth 38 cars and 3 times the races to do. I can't wait for the boring, recycled cars which almost feel the same! Hate customization? Me neither! Luckily it's not going to be even slightly prominent! The community is the best part! Like FWD or AWD? well too bad because everyone hates you now especially if you drift with it. It's weird cuz need for speed hot pursuit (the newest version which is kinda old) had some of the best dynamic day and night cycles i've ever seen in a game, i would sometimes just pick a random car in free roam, and just roam around just to watch the day/night cycle, it was so unique, and the suddenly they just remove this feature from all the nfs afterwards.

Yuepeng Xiong NFS Underground 2 had some pretty realistic handling IMO and I play and have played all the Gran Turismo's and PC only racing simulator like RFactor LFS and the Steam simulation pack games like GTR etc. Most Wanted's driving physics was so unreal and the handling was so awkward I couldn't play it.

First, I agree about the driving physics. It's not that there is a delay of any sort, though. It's just that it doesn't seem very real, like there's a disconnect between the car and the road. That's why I set my first car to the extreme drift end of the tuner. That seemed to help until I got my Aventador. Speaking of, who bothers upgrading cars when the fastest one is available to buy the entire time? I just ground the nearest drag race with my initial car until I had enough for the Aventador. 5 spaces is 3 spaces too much for me. And those drag races suck, btw. After insisting I start with a burnout that just wastes time, doing as instructed- using the reverse brake, then releasing to launch- resulted in sending my car backwards. Yeah, that's right. letting go of the reverse reverses you. So I would do the burnout then switch to the hand brake. But the gas on the xbox 360 controller for PC might as well be a button. Getting it to stay in the "perfect" range is so touchy that when the time comes to actually go, I'm too distracted trying to keep the gas consistent that launch isn't what it should be. Frankly, after 30 some-odd races, I'm not convinced it would be even without the distraction. And where the hell is the green light going when I need it? It goes red, yellow, and then no cue at all. No green light, not even a beep. After making the point of insisting I wait for the green light, what?? IT NEVER COMES. I've done drag racing in many games before, and never, NEVER was it as screwed up as this! Maybe it works better on console, but I'm not getting the joy at all. If it weren't the shortest race in the game, I would never go near it. As for the night time setting and the rain, sorry but I love it. It does take me back to Underground 2. Carbon Canyon was depressing in its darkness, but this game looks fantastic with it, and I think the rain has a lot to do with it. It's nice to see that a night time setting can still be done right. I think the dawn glow parts of the map have a lot to do with it. Just when I was starting to find the darkness a bit much I found myself in Apollo Heights and everything was perfect.

Key to drifting, set car to manual, go into corner either down shift 1/2 gears depending on speed,hit ebrake turn into the corner and hammer gas. then shift up again when redline it. Found with the rx7 you can drift corners in the mountains pretty easy with this method

Me and my friend bought NFS last night because it was on offer. We quit it tonight. The control system has destroyed our interest in the game completely. I've played racing games since i was a kid. I know how to tune cars in games, but in this game it just seems like nothing works. No matter what i did, i felt like i was constantly fighting with the game mechanics. Not even while racing! I could be driving down a street at 30-40mph and the car would veer all over the road because it hit a dip. I also timed the steering response. I threw my stick to the left while watching the car side on and it took exactly 2 seconds for the front wheels to go full lock. 2 second steering response in a racing game?! Come on! The steering remains weird while driving. Sometimes the wheels wouldn't turn at all and stay perfectly straight, launching me in to a wall at a speed that i know i could have taken the corner in. Next, the wheels would turn maybe 1/3 of a lock, again, wall. Next, they would shoot in to full lock immediately, digging in and dragging me across the road, again, wall! That'll all happen in a real car, of course, but that's all down to traction causing over/under steer, not a broken steering rack or a disconnected steering wheel, which this game seems to have! It's as if the game is trying to replicate over and under steer, or more like mimic it, instead of actually having the right physics for it. Then come the ultimate shock. The final straw. I drove slow, exactly 20mph, entered a corner with half lock and took it nicely, perfect control, all good .... right up until i centered my stick and the wheels stayed at half lock! Causing the car to circle around in a never ending corner with the front wheels refusing to center themselves, even though i was not even touching the left side of my game pad! Real cars DON'T do that! If you release your steering wheel while cornering, the wheels will naturally center themselves. Why is this NOT in the game?! The wheels would not leave that track until i gave it a tiny little minuscule amount of opposite lock, which of course, launches my car in the opposite direction right in to a wall. The steering, accelerator and brakes all seem to be connected in one big flawed system that makes absolutely no sense. And on top of all that, entering and exiting that god damned garage to drive around the block a few times to test every single minor tweek was so excruciating!

When you drift, tune your car up a bit, loosen it up, before you drift, downshift, turn right and then instantly up shift and hit the gas. It's actually pretty easy. If you use manual, like me, then just let up off the gas, turn sharp in whatever direction you need, and slam the gas. Your car should slide beautifully.

Drifting tip irl that could work in-game: downshift into second. This will slow down your car (sometimes helping in the process) but will give you a lot more power to under-steer to initiate and maintain a drift. I don't have the game (although I would love to) but I think it's worth giving downshifting into second a shot.

Yes they do tune lambos with twin turbos and all today youtube twin turbo lambo gallado or super veloce.i knw in nfs mw carbon and undercover and a true masterpiece need for speed world you can tune your lambos never played this game so i cant talk on behalf of nfs 2015s lambos

I *SOMEHOW* got some really great setups, mainly a Supra for races and a Volvo for drifting. They are not fully tuned, so your mileage might vary, but it's mostly about tires, diff, and brake power/bias (you want the last one on the drift side). So, the supra likes gripping, but on mid speed corners you can chose to drift(flick it or tap on brakes), and low speed corners you must drift most of the times(scandinavian flick is hard and unreliable, handbrake is your best bet) The Volvo so far is great on low-mid speed drifts. It has some grip options, like 2-3 points on diff(from the max drift), tires, etc. The trick is to alternate the steering between left and right. Steering inside the corner grips and maintains speed and steering outside can make the car still rotate and understeer a lot which will lose you too much speed making you to lose the drift. So alternating those two and maybe combined with the weird steering assist the game has brings balance to your drifts (that's how i understand it so far) If anyone is still interested about this, hit me up and i will thoroughly explain every tuning slider including the values i choose and what i believe they do. Heck i could even do a video in detail about it, if there is no one around KZbin. Please take note i still can't get rid of that random delayed steering assist.

I bought the Viper and upgraded it to 1100 HP and most everything kept up with me in races. There's a real SRT viper with 1850HP. Even if some of what you talked about has been changed, no i won't say fixed. They could of made NFSU2 with these graphics and it would of been a 10/10. I personally don't mind the night with the day time in that one location it's nice. My biggest hate is the live action stuff, i have never cringed so hard in my life for anything before this. And the street racers they worship I have never heard of them ever before. To me it was 5 much older guys than me.

I don't think FH3 is coming out soon. Xbox released the Forza cover car for this year and instead of saying "The next Forza Horizon", it said "The next Forza Motorsport" so it's most likely going to be a follow up to Forza Motorsport 6.

The only NFS game that had a good drag race mode is Prostreet, it had the burnout, you had to react on the tree or else you would jump or sleep on the line, the distance was only 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile, powerful RWD cars could wheelie and you got to see proper results. Sure the performance proportions are all over the place, the physics could take a dump sometimes and some of the tracks works against you, but it's way better than Underground and Most Wanted with it's rail track slalom, traffic and bi-polar difficulty curve. Still not convinced to buy a new console for Burnout 2015, and I never expected you to read this far, have a high-five and a cookie or something...

You're absolutely right, what concerns the Cons-part! :) I mean the Drag mode in the game, isn't even a real drag mode… I seems more like a very short sprint race…! Drag racing is supposed to be fully straight track/road! Like you said, it should have a different place/map for the drag mode, for example: - an empty airport place, like the race wars in F&F 1 ;)

+Matthew Warren I was kinda disappointed by the Project Cars, i think Assetto Corsa is better because you can have endless mods, cars, tracks etc. The career mode is definetely not the strongest side of the game. If you want story or career you play single player in need for speed. AC is all about multiplayer racing, modding and drifting :)

I bought this game two days ago and a lot of what you are saying confuses me. For example, you say drifting is hard to initiate; I found that if you're in a turbocharged car, not spooling your turbo before a drift helps as you go to mash the gas and it spools to initiate said drift. Also, n2o can initiate a drift at high speeds for touge events, where being in 1st matters. Maybe I haven't played enough, but I found this game to be pretty likeable as an arcade racing game. Comparing it to the simulator siblings is something that you have to forget about. It's like comparing a turn-based RPG to an action-based RPG.

My advice on drifting is to hold the brake and handbrake don't let go of the accelerator and turn as much as you feel you need to. This is the way I do it

There's a cockpit view mod and daytime mod for the game, but as you can see that the daytime mod was not suitable for concept of the game because the game was known only for set in nighttime urban street racing and the cockpit view was good but it's not good enough, however since the game had featured windows customization, it can also ruined the gameplay in cockpit view. Plus, the reason why the road is always wet is because it can makes the car more sexy and beautiful as also call Night Riders. (There's a music called Night Rider for the theme of NFS 2015)
