Today I'm laying the final section of track on the entire layout - the goods yard that sits inside the main circuit. Since creating my initial design for the layout though I've had a bit of a rethink and have changed how this will work. The new track plan will be a lot better for operation... but it does mean I have to dismantle part of the layout I've already built!
Elsewhere, scenic work on the layout finally begins as I start the long process of ballasting. Of course this is always a bit of a tedious process but luckily there's some things you can do to make it go more smoothly.
