Thanks Sam, glad you enjoyed it! It’s definitely influenced by your own videos but then you know what they say about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery 😆

It's an absolutely beautiful model. Sadly, I'll probably never own one (wrong era for me), but I'm sure plenty of other modellers will enjoy them!

They are certainly very nice but I know what you mean. With the prices of models always increasing it's harder to justify getting locos that we like the look of but are totally wrong for where/when our layouts are set. Thanks for watching 😃

Hi This is a well made video One of the best I've seen. Bachmann got the livery wrong on the loco it never had this livery And Bachmann admitted that too Keep safe arp

Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I know but I still think Bachmann made the right decision as it looks great and will almost certainly be the most popular - even if it is technically fictional 😄 Thanks for watching!

That's a very nice looking engine. Unfortunately I can't afford one yet; I saw a Hattons listing for around £100.

Fair enough, £100 is one of the better prices I’ve seen for these though considering the original RRP. Thanks for watching 😃

In the time since I posted that initial comment, I've ended up being able to buy an E1 for £91 from Rails of Sheffield, and I got her in the same order as an LBSCR H1.

Goodness…It wasn’t that long ago that the average price for an O 6 O tank was between 40 and 50 quid.

What really impresses me is the water tanks are separate from the boiler whereas the older J72's filled in the gap.

Yes, we tend to take things like this for granted nowadays that the body isn't just a single moulded piece. Thanks for watching 😃

I’d really love this model, kinda reminds me of Thomas the tank ^^
@ThatModelRailwayGuy2 жыл бұрын
I agree! I think he was originally meant to be based on an LBSC E2 but the J72 does certainly have a look of Thomas about it! Thanks for watching 😃

@@ThatModelRailwayGuy yes I heard Thomas was based on the E2, but there is no modern E2 model available as beautiful as this Bachmann E1 to my knowledge... what a stunner!
