Spirit Halloween really seems to love using these big, abandoned stores. In my town, they've taken over a Hollywood Video and then a Sears, and I've seen them take over closed targets in other places.

Honestly Spirit Halloween should just be open year round and be a horror collectibles store on top of selling Halloween merchandise. They'd make good money.

no doubt! I think they've been around for over 30 years so I would assume they tried that and found it was more profitable to just open in these few months around Halloween

They would also sell lots of costumes and props for other holidays... elf suits, Santa suits, New Year’s and Christmas party supplies, Valentine’s Day stuff, etc., etc. As a former school music teacher and theatre director, it is challenging to find costume and prop items. I hated buying those things on the internet, because you were never sure of the size or quality.

Our TOYS "R" US gets used for a Halloween store but I forget the name as last year was the first time. They use banners to cover up the TOYS "R" US & BABIES "R" US on building as the street sign then banners come down after done using the building which last year I went in when the Halloween store was open. Spirit uses a different building here in Lubbock which is always same building for past several years. Great video Nate.

I went in 2019 for the first time in my mall it was in now what’s a men’s and women’s suit and dress store.then it went to my Sears at my mall in 2020 now it’s in a huge shoe carnival for 2021 and I think 2022 could be at and dress barn that’s abandoned

Many Spirit stores are going to be opening much earlier this year, just the way they’re doing things. They have a very large fan base and they’ve become their own brand, so I guess they want to really get themselves out there longer.
