You can't go wrong with a good adaptation of an Elmore Leonard novel.

Get Shorty was the best thing on this episode. Almost a masterpiece

I kinda liked Now and Then, mostly because of Christina Ricci since I was a big fan of hers after The Addams Family. But no one believes Christina Ricci would grow up to be Rosie O'Donnell. 😂😂

Yeah, I did not like them as adults, because I didn't care for the actresses and none of them looked liked they were the same people as kids. But when the movie was just about the kids, I enjoyed it.

Get shorty was one of the best movies of John travolta from the 90s and also Gene hackman

He made one good film in Clerks. A one hit wonderer. But if you read his Wikipedia page you might think he is on the level of Spielberg or Coppola. He is a regular visitor on Con events. Thats how successful he is.

I was thinking the same thing. Now and Then was one of the best movies and I haven’t seen it in years. Looking back, it was one of the best films of the 90s. It does remind of the earlier movie with Whoopi Goldberg and drew berrymore riding out to Arizona. Good times!

i think its a good film but i also have a special place for coming of age films. i do agree with them though that i would have been perfectly fine if the adult versions werent there at all.

I'm not clear why Kevin Smith was so popular. His films are mediocre and the nerdy inside jokes wear on me after awhile.

I enjoyed clerks but the rest of his stuff like mallrats and Jersey girl had alittle bit too much hype imho. Clerks two was decent thought!

i was never crazy about him but i have a good friend that loves the guy. the thing is im not even sure he likes his films all that much he just likes watching/listening to him tell stories on podcasts and stuff like that. but yeah ive never watched any of his films twice personally, and i dont think i have even watched anything he has made since maybe the early 2000s. whats really weird is a lot if the "nerd" fanbase he has or had like him because of his love of comics and pop culture stuff. but in the last decade or so he has been completely embracing the sort of woke stuff that is happening in comics and superhero films that those same fans cant stand.

I could never understand why Get Shorty was so highly recommended & praised.....I hated that film; yes, it has a lot of superior actors (Travolta, Hackman & DeVito), but I thought it was SO stupid & boring
