3:47 Mick, the man you're refering to is Peter Lerche! He is one of the all-time top tier finnish guitarists. *EDIT* I stand corrected: The guitarist in Mad Professor's official video is Marko Karhu. Peter Lerche has made excellent videos of Simble and a real Overdrive special independently.

Awesome Pick ‘n Mix. It’s awesome to see you guys work through pedals on the fly - really gives some understanding on how to test out pedals in a way I never quite thought of in such detail. Thanks again, guys.

Picked up a Mad Prof Dual Blue not long after watching your in-studio (the place you’ve recently had to leave) segment with Matt S. Lovely sounding delay…I even do the Matt thing of having one half set up as a slapback and the other set up longer with more repeats. At this point you guys are responsible, indirectly & sometimes directly, for about half my active pedal collection. :)
@justingarcia77226 жыл бұрын
I’m sure it must’ve been very strange in the room, with the volume tamed and attenuators but you guys got killer tones coming through in the video. Suppose that’s the benefit of things like two note or the ox, you get great, consistent sounds via the interface or to the audience in the front of house (as you guys have said many a time it feels like hearing your amp through the monitors) but it can feel a bit insipid in person. Seems the best application is having the amps roaring on stage and using the line out on one of those for FOH QC

First; thanks for a great show. You have helped me immensely to get closer to where I want to be soundwise. Happy to see and hear that the Twimble is to your liking. I use the Simble, which is closely related to it. Anyway, I miss some info in your video that might be useful to the folks who are interested in either the T or the S. At least I found it to be when I got mine. Level: is the output level Sensitivity: is the amount of drive Contour: is the overall eq Accent: is the eq if the signal going into the drive stage To get a startingpoint for tweeking, it’s easiest to set the pedal thusly: LEVEL at max SENSITIVITY at zero CONTOUR at 3 o’clock ACCENT at 9 o’clock The knobs are not working the way knobs usually do on pedals. The controls are interactive, so things happen when you start tweeking 😉. Keep up the excellent work, and again; thanks a bunch!!!

Challenge! I saw your OR15 video and thought it would be cool to do a comparison of all the classic British amps of the 60s and 70s: Marshall, Vox, Orange, Hiwatt (PLEASE!), etc. And you could do it in two parts: one for the older 100/50 watt amps (Plexi, DR103, AC30, OR120) and then! do a comparison of the lower watt, bedroom friendly amps (Bluesbreaker, Tiny Terror, AC10, Custom 20). It would be loud but the most amazing noises to behold! If you get to a new location that will handle lots of noise, please do this one!

The Twimble absolutely buries any Zendrive I've ever played. It has no peer in its price range (perhaps any price range). Less compression - so it's more responsive to picking dynamics - and low end to spare. It's smooth. It chirps. It's a stupendous pedal. Get. IN! Have schwang.

I am thinking of buying a looper pedal and just to be sure I understood how it works depending on where I put it on the pedalboard: If I put the looper last on the chain, whenever I record a layer, that layer will always keep the same effect I used when recording it, and I can then add more layers with different effects. However, if I put the looper first the effect will change whenever I engage or disangage the pedals after recording it and every layer will have the same effect. Is this correct?
@charlottebell98676 жыл бұрын
Pedro Bragança Correct.
@KozmykJ6 жыл бұрын
Yup. I now have two. One at each end... My older cheaper one (Harley Benton Dual Looper) goes at the front when I'm using it. Usually for setting up sounds or making FX comparisons. My better one (Boss RC-3) goes at the end for conventional Loop building duties.

Goodness! Mick here - I hadn’t even noticed! But yeah, I agree. Although, if you want to see who really objectifies women, look at any fashion magazine.
