pedal builders generally have mutual respect for each other. MXR even has a guest program where Jeorge Tripps (of Way Huge) invited Analog Mike to create the MXR Duke of Tone. pedal builders collaborate sometimes. You won't find this in the guitar world. Fender / Gretsch will never collaborate with Gibson on anything.

+Origin Effects Funny story for ya. About a month ago, I bought a limited edition big box cali76 std for retail price. You guys probably know that your big box comps are reselling for an arm and a leg, but some store in california was moving inventory and noticed they had one on the shelf that wasn't posted on reverb! Serial number R6 lol I bought the pedal 8 minutes after it was posted, I believe. And side note, I literally sh*t myself when I saw the post, but it's okay because I was on my bathroom break at work... so crisis averted.

What a lovely Pedal Show. How can you not love Mike when one of his first comments is about Chris Squire- 'Rest In Peace' with gentle warmth and sincerity. What a great story and what a fascinating person in his genuine humility for such incredible skill, vision and the joy and inspiration he has given while treating weekend warriors with the same respect as legends. I agree, his email replies have always been respectful, honest and as prompt as his precious time allows. Great show guys and long may Analogman's song go on.

I was wondering how long the wait time would be for pedals and here is what I found from Analog Man's website: "No Delays on almost all pedals! Most pedals we sell are in stock and ready to ship! These items will usually ship the business day after your order. There is no delay on pedals you send in for mods, those get top priority as we don't want people to be without their pedals for long. Usually mods take only a few days, often one day. Modified new pedals like Boss and Ibanez usually ship one to two days after the order as they are modified to your specs. Chorus pedals, Compressors, Beano Boosts, and Peppermint Fuzzes are custom made to order due to the many options, so are taking from a day to a week. Sunfaces are about a week or so to build to your specs. The King Of Tone is the only pedal that has a waiting list now, and the list is long but getting shorter. KoT list is explained on the KoT Delay page. Prince Of Tone pedals are usually available on Wednesdays but you can try any time. We completed the Bicomp list in May 2012! RMC wahs have been backed up but we are getting them in more regularly now, see my RMC page for current status. If you order a wah elsewhere, MAKE SURE they have it in stock as some dealers may not be as honest about availability. Most other pedals like Strobostomp, Boss, Xotic, MXR, Voodoo lab, Black Cat, T Rex, Bad Bob, EHX, Z Vex, Ernie Ball, MXR, Dunlop, etc should be on the shelf ready to ship the business day after we get your order. Feel free to ask before placing an order to be sure, or if you are in a rush. THANKS!!!"

He mentions making pedals that were inspired by tones from some of his favourite songs and artists, you guys should definitely create a Spotify playlist of your favs that are the reason why you do what you do everyday! I was hesitant to go high gain at all, but I'm so glad I did. There is plenty of range on the volume and drive controls. I find I get everything I need between 12 and 2 o' clock, and the toggle is very nice to have. It certainly is a fine overdrive and I have, or have had, many drive pedals. Mine's blue by the way, gorgeous!

@Yupppi5 жыл бұрын
It beats me, this is the moment where I understood why analogman is so highly valued. His pedals are different. They don't do sounds and you tweak until you find something that sounds good. You engage them and they sound good, with tweaking you just find that really sweet spot. Personally I'm a big fan of gear that sounds special and has its own sound the moment you plug in. I suppose Mick shares the same mentality. All those pedals sound so good, it somehow exactly fits what he said about listening to them until it sounds just right. They have something special going, you don't get drowned in the effects, you don't get annoying frequencies you'd love to tweak but can't, they're just so smooth. To sum it up, they really sound so carefully designed and tested. Once again I found a new love and new experience in how you can hear the nature of the guitar through all the effects.
