I broke my right foot when I was about 11 years old so was told I couldn't kick a ball in the playground for 8 weeks... so I started using my left foot and ended up being about as good with either which helped me get starts on the left hand side of midfield when there wasn't a natural left footer in my teams... definitely worth encouraging... it's not just for standing on!

I remember a few years ago having a kick about with my mate and his nephew who was 7 at the time.
