Aside from Santa Clarita International School, Iloilo has St. Robert's International College, Georgia International Academy, The Great International School, and Brilliant Mind International School. But those are just small schools. Most of the top schools are Catholic and Chinese Academies and Universities.

That school is cutting edge! I did a practicum for a year in a grade school in Pirmasens, Germany back in the 80s as part of a Master's program with Boston University... I was working on a degree in psychology and boy oh boy, it was an eye-opening experience... Needless to say, the military sponsored school was not on the level of this school! It was a good operation though... The degree I completed back then opened the door to teaching as an adjunct professor for 10 years in 3 overseas programs with colleges and universities in Germany... This tour takes me back Haha... The cost for this school is likely high, but the value is priceless for the children IMO... Thanks for the tour, it's nice to see that strides in education can be developed anywhere in this big world! I look forward to getting over there and contributing as possible to the community I end up in... Good session guys! 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍

By the way, I was doing this stuff while in the Army... The education and experience I gained has been used in the 25 years in military service and since for 25+ years as a civilian... In the Corporate world and as an entrepreneur having access to quality education and learning how to apply the lessons in real life is useful... Schools like this are crucial to opening the eyes of kids to what is possible... It can be scaled to other areas too, IMO... Perhaps not to the degree they've been able to there, but most certainly a bit... Again, good stuff you two! Enjoyed this episode... 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎😅

@@artvandelay409I'd say you must have been in an area with nothing but high worth folks and budgets to match... Could be... I've been in neighborhoods and areas with all ranges of economic conditions, and believe me, what I've seen makes the school toured in this video look pretty darn good... I guess it's all relative...TomAto or ToMAWto... Let's also consider what schools are intended to accomplish... IMO the main job these days is to get the kids to know about basic life skills in addition to the cutting edge stuff covered (on top of the basic Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic stuff)... This school is doing that in spades... I compare that to the schools I've worked in and attended as a kid and again IMO they're doing a darn good job... 🤔🤔🤔

What could be also interesting for you - at least I would be interested in it! - there is a Waldorf School near Iloilo. I dont know if Canadians are familiar with Waldorf Schools, but it is some kind of school with german origins that have some different kind of approach to teaching & learning. A bit like Montessori, but different. Maybe you can visit this too. It is called "Gamot Cogon Waldorf School" in Zarraga, Iloilo. I only know another Waldorf School in the Philippines, but I dont know the one in Iloilo. So I think this could be quite interesting. For people who dont know that kind of schools it might be very new and different. Maybe you visit. I would be happy as I look for a place for my offspring ;) :D

Several schools in the Philippines hv speech labs. Xavier High School in Greenhills, Ortigas Avenue has speech labs. Same for La Salle etc. In fact, Xavier has 2 football fields, lots of basketball courts, ping pong tables, pelota courts n lap pools for 15-20 people n other sports!!! Xavier also has the IB diploma program, a tough program which is much, much difficult than the AP courses. Shoutout fr Wall Street, Manhattan!!!

You can get central air

It is extremely rare to see Central air in a home in the Philippines. In America and Canada, homes are built with heating ducts to heat the house during the winter. Central air is added after the homes are built and fed through the heating ducts of course. In the Philippines, homes are not built with heating ducts for obvious reasons and therefore Central air can't be added.

Homes here are made of cement and concrete not wood and drywall which also makes it costly and difficult to allow for
