It's so nice and cute what you guys do. The fact that you guys are foreigners it's awesome how you guys show the love for the country!. Makes me feel guilty somehow when sometimes I feel bad growing up and living my life here. What you guys do makes me feel prouder than I've ever been being a Filipino. . More power to you two! I'll be rooting for that "trying balut" video, you guys really should try it, you'll never regret it. Though, take note of this, "THERE'S A FILIPINO WAY OF EATING "BALUT". I'LL BREAK IT DOWN IN 5 STEPS. 1. LOOK FOR THE TOP SIDE OF THE SHELL, WHERE THERE'S LIKE A VACUUM-LIKE SPACE(you can ask the vendor he'll know. 2. CRACK OPEN JUST THAT PART OF THE SHELL. 3. DON'T FORGET THE VINEGAR AND SALT. PUT JUST ENOUGH IN THE OPENING.(cuz I noticed when you eat the skewers you don't dip it in the sauce, those were the best thing about skewers.) 4. SUCK OUT THE (Sabaw), OR THE FLUID INSIDE THE BALUT. that's the best part when eating balut.) 5. OPEN THE WHOLE THING , SPRINKLE SOME SALT AND A BIT OF VINEGAR, AND EAT THE WHOLE THING. That's it, you guys can thank me later.😅. ENJOY!!!

Lumpia (shanghai or springroll) is best when dipped in vinegar that has a little bit of sugar and some pepper, a bit of chili, ginger, and very tin sclies of onions OR you can just dip it in a sweet chili sauce. Barbeques!! Easily my favorite streetfood tho it can also be done in your backyard but with more of the usual and a littpe bit more expensive meats to grill like fish, chicken, porks, beef... Goes so well with BEER too! Maybe you could try that as a content. *That sticky rice is called Palitaw and its so good and I prefer it with less sugar There's still a lot of streetfood you could try here. Also, I notice that pretty much EVERYTHING in Boracay is like 5-10 pesos more expensive haha. Maybe because it's a tourist spot and also a small island which makes the transportation of goods to be slightly more expensive which affects the price of stuff.

How is it getting better when Philippine street food is all Fried items from Chinese factories like the fish balls and squid balls. Processed products using cheap ingridients. Then you also have those waste products of chicken. Its okay if they want to sell that in the slums of Manila. But places like Palawan, Mindanao, and Boracay dont have to feed foreigers with Spring Rolls and Siomai made from what could be cat meat.

On one of our three week trips to the Philippines we met a 18 year old Filipino in the US at the airport and he told us how he was going for 3 months to visit relatives, he was very excited. Then when our 3 weeks were up it was back to the airport, and who do we see standing I line is that very same 18 year old heading back to the US. He told us of how he went kind of crazy eating all the Philippine foods like Balut and snails and of how he got sick and was in the hospital for over two weeks recovering. And he told of how he couldn't wait to get back the USA so he could eat some American food. LOL
