Great video. Interesting for me for sure. I would personally…if I bought a lot… not build right at a property line so that the neighbours could build off of the wall. Sound transfer🤣. Not good. I’d probably max out the size of house I could build on the land but I’d have an area around each of the 4 walls so no one could build off of my wall… basically a perimeter around the house Thanks Mark

The quality of houses in the Philippines is better than in the US. Most houses in the US are made up of wood. In the Phippines, houses like this in the video are made up of concrete I assume. Plus, aesthetically speaking, designs in the Phil looks better.

I’m surprised you don’t look in Palawan. It’s the safest from natural disasters lowest crime in the phil’s and some a hole didn’t buy up all the property and sub divide it into small lots for 1.5 or 3 mil. Or put up a bunch of ugly Lego houses and sell them for low monthly prices and completely ruin the rental income for anyone else in the area.

Subdivisions are always much more. You can buy land outside subdivisions for far less. I've seen provincial land at. 20p to town land 1000p but within a city like Bacolod P2k is sooo cheap. When I was in the Philippines I seriously considered to buy a property but at the time I was told that as a foreign national you can’t really buy property in your own name. Another option was to buy a piece of land and own it for the length of 99 years. What is the situation right now, how does a foreign person independently and lawfully require land?

Not really upscale housing. The subdivision looks empty, no life in it, the unkept grounds make it look like one of the abandoned towns you sometimes see. You spend money on a house here and it looks like a complete dump beside it. There are much better subdivisions in the Philippines than this.

Amazes me they keep saying house and lot. So redundant. It’s not like someone else owns the land when you buy a house. That only happens in condos, not single family detached houses.
@ThatPhilippinesLife10 ай бұрын
Technically for foreigners there are some people who will offer a lease of the land and buy the house but yes in theis case it's not that situation
@wavemaker20779 ай бұрын
Maybe for clarity. Imagine if you bought a house assuming that you bought a house and lot but the owner will say later that he only sold the house. The owner didn't sell the lot. 😊
@J-Tyson5589 ай бұрын
@@wavemaker2077 Then you're the idiot that bought the house without checking the title and deed. That's why there's agents who will represent you to make sure you know what you're buying. My point being in the Philippines they say alot of redundant things. Another example: instead of saying full bathroom they'll say toilet and bath. There's a half bath, aka powder room where's there no shower. But there's no such thing as just a bathroom with only a shower.
@muhjm19465 ай бұрын
In the Philippines foreigners cannot own land, that is the law. 40/60 is ownership. Foreigners can only own a condominium. You should review the laws that govern ownership before you put out informations that is not base on facts of law.
