watching youtube can tend to leave me feeling unproductive and my mind foggy afterwards, but after watching your videos i feel a sense of space, inspiration, and even a bit recharged. your thoughts about not being sure if you are doing Sag things because you might be subconsciously biased was enlightening to hear, as I identify a lot with my sign, but there are also many parts of my personality that I believe are just 'me,' and not based off of an idea, like astrology is. anyway, thanks for being you, always. your energy manages to radiate off of the computer screen and touch many, which is talent. much love

omg i totally feel you on the personality things. I think the recent wave started with the whole 'hey introverts exist' thing. Like, it was super helpful to bring to the mainstream how it's not weird to not like to go out partying all the time...but like, we're all on a spectrum. Everything you do or don't do doesn't have to translate directly back to something symbolic. Like, the line between self-awareness and self-labeling and thus self-limiting. The line between reason and excuse.

When you talked about materialism and consumerism, I related to that comment because I was and am exactly how you described it for yourself. Of course, as a 20 year old who is constantly targeted in the media by these trendy items and fashion, I have to pause & think if I really like it or if I just want it for the status. Most of the time, even if I feel I have the answer, I don’t buy it and come back to it a week or two later and I feel completely different. It’s just a spurr of the moment desire and the rush to pursue it. The eyes are the gateway to desire, and I’m learning how to control it as I grow. Sadly, we really do live in a materialistic world.

It was fun watching your spontaneous, experiential, wanderlust become those insights into our current human condition. We all have to engage in trade for the items we need to exist. Balancing price, utility, and craftsmanship; while minimizing the externalities of the goods and services we consume, is responsible commercial behavior. I loved your revelatory musing on behavioral bias in response to the hyperscale, amplified, social milieu in which we find ourselves. The brave souls like yourself who live in a state of high digital exposure are always subject to bidirectional cause and effect. It's healthy for us all to have a fear of losing ourselves in reaction to the demands of social media. Keep striving for that higher plane of existence that'll improve our world, and take everyone else on social media along for the ride!

Empty yourself of everything. Let the mind rest at peace. The ten thousand things rise and fall while The Self watches their return. They grow and flourish and then return to the source. Returning to the source is stillness, which is the way of nature. The way of nature is unchanging. Knowing constancy is insight. Not knowing constancy leads to disaster. Knowing constancy, the mind is open. With an open mind, you will be open hearted. Being openhearted, you will act royally. Being royal, you will attain the divine. Being divine, you will be at one with the Tao ( source, god, universe) Being at one with the Tao is eternal. And though the body dies, the Tao will never pass away. - Lao Tzu
