When your officiating is so bad that NFL brass is actually agreeing with fans, you need to go ahead and find another job. Pisses me off, too, because I spent 16 years working as a ref. PeeWee, HS, college. I reffed them all. I couldn't get a shot at reffing an NFL game, but these clowns are allowed to? And I know it is usually meant as a joke, but a lot of refs do have a bias and will take gifts and favors in the off season. I won't name names, but a certain well-known MLB ump is from my area, and everyone here knows he's dirty. He recently retired, but he had been taking fancy dinner gifts and the like for many years. I could write a novel about the refs in this game and this season so far. Even the “thrilling” games in prime time are a drag with the crazy amount of flags. Yes, you can call a holding on every play but that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to. The refs were so flag and whistle happy that they forgot their training which is to let the play run its course if it’s even somewhat a close call so you can get a booth review and make sure that you actually get the call correct. It literally almost cost my donkeys the game. The refs are really lucky this isn’t Brazilian “football”…
