I saw Vanessa in concert two weeks ago in Toowoomba as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour. She was absolutely amazing. Due to some flight delays, only her and her bass player were able to make it to the venue (and they changed the artist lineup so she could perform later in the day). They also had no equipment with them. So the bass player borrowed an accoustic guitar from one of the other bands, and they did a two person accoustic set which was simply unbeliavable. Such a talent. Her vocals were incredible and the accoustic set was something special to remember. James Reyne also wandered out on stage at one point with his accoustic guitar and they did an impromptu duet which they arranged on the spot. True talents of the Aussie music industry.

This song came out in the year 2000 when I was a kid. Total pop hit that year. 😆 I could bet on it being played on the radio every day multiple times a day. Drove people crazy. I think now being 20+ years since it came out I've had enough time to start enjoying it again!

Not sure where you're from, but it actually came out in Australia back in November of 1999. She then released it mid-late 2000 everywhere else, around about the time she performed at the Olympics.

I remember in 1999, my brother Aidan had a note on his wall. “Dear Aidan, you go to my school. Love, Vanessa.” I asked him who this love was, and he said Vanessa Amorossi. I was like “who?” He was like “you don’t know who Vanessa Amorossi is?” I was like no. Haha. When I learned who she was, I asked him to ask her if she would do an interview for a John Farnham doco I was planning on. She said yes. Aidan passed away not long later, I never made the documentary. But that’s how I ended up with the John Farnham videos I uploaded to KZbin.
