You are absolutely right, but depression fucks with your brain and makes you see everything in the worst possible light. And if that’s not bad enough it makes your thoughts so rigid that you are not even able to entertain the possibility that things could be different from how you perceive them. The self loathing, the feeling of being worthless and a burden to everyone who’s close to you, the feeling of isolation and hopelessness because you are so utterly alone in that endlessly deep, pitch black, empty space that depression creates and keeps you prisoner in. It’s so horrible and you just want it all to end, to close your eyes and finally be at peace. If you suspect that someone might be depressed try to convince them to seek professional help, possibly set up an appointment and take them there yourself if necessary. Don’t be afraid to butt in, or take charge, they might really need it.

Great reaction. For you and all the people who might not understand the video. The Lyrics and the video story don't really match. The video is called Ghost because the woman he was going to marry dies in a car accident and her ghost comes back and shuts the car off, saving him. Note, at the very very end the wedding ring that he put on her finger is now on the key chain and the engine is off. It took me many many views to finally understand this great emotional video.

Yes you are correct about passing the pain on to loved ones, been in that situation before and that was the only thing that stopped it. It's very selfish if someone goes through with it but I don't know if they realize it when they do.... keep em coming 👊

I'm dealing with that right now with a very young cousin of she's a second and she's very young very much younger than and it's tearing me up she called me last night in the middle of the and she said I was the only one she could talk to that I had an open mind and I've always been the only one she could talk to I just didn't know what to say to her I loved her and I knew that her mother and her grandparents loved her very very much and that we needed her other than that I didn't know what else to say and I pray to God that God helps her

good luck convincing a badly depressed person that their subtraction from everyone's lives won't benefit THEM. i'm speaking about altruistic suicide--an actual type of suicide, and it's not that it is TRULY altruistic, just that this is what their broken brain feels like it KNOWS. calling it selfish just adds to the grief, like nothing they can do is right...which is likely exactly why they want to die in the first place. i say this not to get on your case...just to let you know that telling a depressed person that they're being selfish by thinking of or trying suicide will not help the problem. tough love is often the right answer in other mental health areas, but not with suicide. cheers.
