I’m so glad you guys liked the band. They (especially Josh Katz, the lead singer) are very open about the importance of talking about and de-stigmatizing mental health issues. I’m actually going to see them live next month on the Canadian leg of their current tour, which I’m really excited about. If you want to check out a less emotional song by them try 30, or Don’t Hate Me. For more deep feels stuff you could look at Family, or the Jester. Thanks for doing this one!

@@Rykerroad Badflower is another one of my favorite bands. Josh brings the emotions because he lives it. I agree, to see the more lighthearted side of them, that 30 is a great choice (the video is great and they did it all themselves) Also Move Me (At The Hideout) is one that is emotional but not a tearjerker. There is good if you hunt it out. Often it is ground down under the boots of steadfast sadness (or even lack of joy) or sometimes pure wickedness. Rykerroad, you chose a very emotional song and video both conveying to us how dynamic and sincere this band is. I believe I have figured out the meaning of the video as the lyrics don't follow the video completely. Basically, the "Ghost" of the girlfriend came back to shut off the car to save his life. (notice the wedding ring on the key chain at the very end of the video) clever! If I were your waitress at a new music restaurant I would suggest watching "Family", "The Jester" and "Promise me" for starters. I learned that the more I dug into this band Badflower the better it got. Thank you for your sincere reaction. So my request to you Rykerroad is . . . . more please :) - Lisa

Like you all said, it was good to have someone "ballsy" enough to say this stuff. When I was 14, "Fade to Black" from Metallica saved my life. Depression had grabbed me fiercly, and I was struggling to push forward and debated ending it all. Hearing the dark thoughts, the ones circling in my head, in someone else's words made me feel not alone. That if someone could say those things, then I wasn't the ONLY one feeling it. Just that glimmer of hope gave me enough to hang on. When I heard "Ghost" for the first time, I realized it was another one of those songs that gave the "demons" of depression a name. And once they are named, they can be fought. To echo your pinned comment.. talking about mental health issues and de-stigmatizing the treatment and recovery process is an important step in all of us fighting this epidemic! Reaction channels like yours that expose this message to audiences that may hot have had a chance to hear it is AWESOME! Thanks for the support!

Man I love this band, here's hoping for more sad songs as I love sad songs. So far Family, Ghost and Move me by Badflower have been the most relatable for me and as for this 1 ghost I'm not scared too admit I cut and I still do as nothing very special ever happens in my life either, I struggle with anxiety so stay indoors all the time all I ever do is game, watch KZbin or listen too music so not much of a life and all of this has given me delusions like we live in a simulation or what if I am dead and this is hell. I really do want too end it so bad but I'm scared, I'm scared that things will change, I'm scared of hurting people closest I'm scared so I suffer and live on for everyone other than myself. I put people 1st and am kind yet somehow everyone I know shoves a knife into my back, idk what I ever did wrong but at 23 I can't be asked too live another 50 odd years and it's beginning too look like 1 of these days I will end it. Edit: sorry guys I love ur reactions this is just the reality I face, love bands that are so heavily relatable

I have lived badflower for years since I heard this song. I have felt theses feelings os suicide for years. The first band I related to in this aspect was Linkin Park with breaking the habit. Although I'm am in pain and I want the pain to end both bands make me remember that I will cause pain by ending my pain that way. I thank them for that message. Linkin Park got me through high-school. I survived and became a father. Badflower got me through my divorce, and guess what I'm still a father. Life hurts and it can tear you down and break you. But if I became the white ghost what would happen to my kids??? Life still sucks ass life is still painful. Waking up and knowing you have a happy smiling kid who loves you is priceless. I still get the dark thoughts of giving up. But between my kids and my music I survive. This world is to hard to bring pain to them. For anyone feeling alone and lost, I am here. As are many others. Honestly I never committed because of my fear to hurt someone, and I suffered through alone because I was afraid to talk . I am a living freak zland I'm glad I gave life the chance. Those dark feelings fade when you start talking. It takes time but never give up.
