Ren has a video on his channel about when him and Sam first met. Ren saw sam busking on the street after he had just finished a set. Ren saw he didn't have any mic so he asked Sam if he wanted to borrow his amp? He told Sam that he can make a lot more money if people could hear him. Sam borrowed his amp, Ren played guitar and the rest is history. They have been friends and singing together ever since. Ren has a video of it on his RenMakesMusicFans KZbin channel. It's good to hear a reactor wanting to know about Sam Tompkins. He and the members of The Big Push, and Chinchilla are all working it themselves and it's good to spread the love. if you want a song you recognise, he has a cover of Stand By Me If you want something you haven't heard, his latest release is Lose it All. There's also a video where he has dug back into his teenage busking videos. He was nervous so friends would hang out and film film him and make it look like he already had a couple of fans, so the very first time he busked with Ron was videod. Basically ren stopped and said: you'll do much better with an instrument and a microphone. Here, you sing into mine, I'll play some music behind you, you can have all the takings. He multiplied Sam's collection from £40 or so to £200. This was when Ren was ill, you know there's good days, bad days and hell days with chronic illness, so this day he felt good enough to get out there, and he spent it helping a kid.

I have so much to say! First, my first wife (RIP) had a favorite word when she lost her religion, and it was “Mylanta!” So thanks for that memory. 2. “N* BREATHE YOU HAVE LYME DISEASE!!!!” I did a literal lol for about 5-10 seconds. You’re so caring for the man. 😂 This was an absolute hilarity to watch. Some killer one liners. Super entertaining thanks. 3. It’s a worthy fight and I know from seeing them talk together that there is such love and joy between them on and off stage, but I bet even Sam watches this and is like “man I had a good day out there, really had it go…oh wow, Ren just takes it to another level. Now he’s gonna beatbox behind me JFC.” All jokes aside Sam is top notch especially since it’s live, but you can hear some places where he pushes it-and I’m so here for that-but he goes past the line. Like once he kinda ran out of breath and had to cut it quick before he lost pitch. But Ren, if he ever makes a mistake live, it’s either so small or so inconsequential you don’t have time to consider it. It’s uncanny. He finds some limits in the guitar solo but on vocal he’s just so ON IT. In that interview they did they said legit sometimes they would get to their spot and 1000 people were waiting. WAITING for a busking session. That’s insane. I bet Sam will just kill some songs and be a very successful artist, but Ren is the most complete musical performance artist I’ve seen since Prince. And that is a BOLD statement. I would place Jack White in that space but frankly Ren is doing more original work out of the gate. He’s a genre. He’s an EGOT in a single performance. Game changing.
