This is My Road to S+ Rank in Splatoon 3! Its a well fought journey of me obtaining S+ Rank in Splatoon 3 in under 24 Hours! It gets pretty rough since this game just launched i am fighting nothing but Top High Level Players and Pro Players almost non-stop as i fight my way to the top!
In this part we are using the Splattershot Pro in what has to be the SWEATIEST A Rank will EVER BE! Some of the games where really hard but we still climb our way up to A+ Rank!

Honestly, sitting in B rank right now is so weird. Because I'll get games where my teammates are actually playing with good positioning and awareness like 20% of the time, while the other 80% is just teammates dying to map hazards or playing with bad positioning or pushing the objective by themselves and so on. Makes those series battles feel like I'm gambling a bit of my sanity lol.

Ranked right now is crazy because at the lower levels I'm dealing with weird matches of top level pros and noobs in the same games. They really should have imported average of players four Splatoon 2 rankings and then gone from there.

@@yoyojoost They put everyone in B- that imported data no matter how elite they were. I was a low level X Rank player in Splatoon 2. My first two ranked battles I was in there with top 50 professionals with well known usernames and a few legitimate B- players. That should never be happening. It is a mess.

Are the Stingers any good? Im having good success with them so far as I aim for where people are going instead of where they are. Planting those three bombs is working alot but I dont see it at high level play. Should I switch weapons now?

Play what works for you until it doesn't work for you anymore. All the top level pros don't think the stringers are great weapons right now, but that may just be because they haven't spent a lot of time with them. Stringers definitely have a high learning curve, are more difficult to get one shot kills from then other similar weapons, and the tri-stringer isn't great at painting. However, every weapon has pluses and minuses, if you're able to win with it, then it doesn't matter what other people think.

The issue with Stringers is that they're not quite a charger and they're also not quite a slosher. They sit in this weird middle ground, and taking either end instead of the middle is generally going to be better. I'd argue both chargers and sloshers out class it & have better kill/support potential.

How long do you think it'll take for the ranks to sort themselves out. I'm a casual and I when I jumped into ranked I would literally be killed as soon as I spawned. The only time I was even kinda useful was I used the bloblobber because then I could just hurl things randomly away from the actual action and occasionally get an accidental kill.

I'm in the worst loosing streak of my gamer life right now 12 wins - 35 losses, I feel totally powerless in my games, I'm even doubting about what I can do and what I can't. im an x ranker and I got the same struggle but in turf war surprisingly. The game imports player data and I hadn't touched splatoon for 2 years and was being pitted with rank x level players and my teammates were usually 1 competent player and the other 2 an aerospray with like 1200p and no kills plus a roller who only crushes people. The worst part is the other teams have all 4 as good, respectable players so it just feels unfair as it gets. Thanks to B and A rank games being easier (am A) I'm at 20 win 29 loss (more than half those wins are ranked) Since you have trouble try using an easier weapon with good kill power like splash o matic (even though they are the bane of my existence I can't deny it's ability as a weapon) that inks well too and practice not dying for entire matches and as you get better at that try approaching a few players for fights.

@@groovy3328 woah a+, haha ur higher than me rn It's definitely not easy but I was giving that advice in the assumption you were a beginner player. I'm guessing if you're in A during this hectic time in ranked you have a bit of experience though... some great weapons I'd look at if you're going for paint are n-zap, splashomatic, reef-lux, and (my personal favorite, been my main since splat1 but is hard to pick up due to high learning curve) L-3. I don't know your playstyle or skill sets since I assumed you were a beginner so try to stick to how you would play in ranked... do you typically play sweeper? support? backline? Whatever you do try to stick and improve on this while trying not to die in the last minute in particular and I would make a goal of the whole match. Since we both seem to share the same issue I can say with confidence someone else will probably paint the base for you lol. When it comes to players that outskill you, your best bet is to take advantage and not have them team on you; a 2v1 is a loss at least 80% of the time. If you're using splash for example you can bait a sweeper with burst bomb and climb a wall then surge backward to kill from above for example or with an nzap tacticooler you and a sweeper and flank the backline on the wing (albeit gl with this in ur average turf war smh.) You just gotta prepare a lot instead of going in head on. In short I'd say try looking at support weapons since I think that would be good for your playstyle (I don't know how well you do with backliners though) and try to support your sweepers with paint and specials with your main objective being to not die. If you are having trouble with players that outskill you, outsmart them by luring them into an advantage (doesn't work every time but it's at least the best approach, particularly for sweepers)

@@jermm2183 yeah I have a little experience in splatoon, I started in 2021 and i was S+5 when Splatoon 3 came out. I play the Tri Stringer because I really love the weapon and the gameplay. I play the weapon as a disruptor support / Anchor Flex, it means I harrass and poke the ennemy a lot and manipulate the way they move. I usually have a 10/3/6 killer whale ratio. But it's not good enough the ennemy team always happen to clutch even if I stay focused and don't become over confident when we have the upper hand, or I don't go kamikaze if they win. When I have really tough games, the opponents are everywhere on the map, I get flanked by splattershots, splash o matic, I can't approach any ledge because they are zoning it, my front line stagger themselves by suicide over and over again on them, so I spend my game trying to survive and waiting for a regroup. I ping a "This way" buy it does not matter. I really think I should learn to carry the games as a great support/backline flex , but I don't know how to deal with such strong players. I try to help my team and win together but they don't wanna be helped, they think they should carry the game alone, because this is how they did before to go X

@@groovy3328 I see... if that's how you enjoy playing you sound best suited to team play. A support of that level definitely thrives from having communication with slayers due to directing the moves of the enemy slayers/support. In solo que I would pick up something else... maybe the reef-lux? It doesn't have the explosions so you would lose your base playstyle but you would get great aiming practice with the bow class while playing in a better solo que environment for the class. I will warn you that in higher ranks (I hit S today after an insane L3 win streak) chargers are the meta for backline (most common weapons tend to be nzap, 52, splat charger, splashomatic, and splattershot) so you would struggle a lot since chargers are gonna counter you pretty hard if you use tri stringer. My suggestion if you prefer the support/backline flex sort of playstyle is definitely to find some people to team with in a vc. You're right about solo que and people not liking to work together; you rarely see that perfect someone who coordinates with you unfortunately. Tri stringer is a weapon I don't know very much about so I don't have much advice to give on it but I'm going to assume it's similar to something like rapid pro in playstyle (I have maybe 60k on reef-lux but none on tri stringer sadly) but worse up close due to slow charge time and honestly terrible close range kill power that severely needs to be buffed. For that kind of playstyle I doubt I can give you make it or break it advice if you're to keep playing it but run some extra swim/quick jump for flanks? Idk the weapon well but I assume you would run something like 1 main ink res, 1 main ink saver, 1 main obj shredder and some subs here and there of things like bomb d and special saver? I would try like 2 subs quick jump and 1 main 1 sub or 4 subs swim speed to help support a more "carrying" playstyle and help you flee in the case of flanks? Tbh the best advice I would have it to switch to a better weapon for the job but as someone who also enjoys antimeta I tried to help to the best of my ability on tri stringer. If there's anything I can try to help you with tell me and I will try, I definitely want to see players like you perform well and shake up the meta for the better
