This is my favorite Tyson fight, past his prime, pretty much loses every round, announcers saying he looks sloppy, then WHAM 3 seconds later he lands a punch powerful enough to give a rhinoceros severe brain damage. It’s my favorite cause it’s always served as a reminder not to get cocky, 1 punch can end it all.

@@MrJoe-yw5exTyson used to do that for every fighter he hit hard. He used to be a fucking lamb, really polite and nice. I don't know if it was prison that changed him or if the change happened before, but contrary to what is sometimes reported he wasn't a mean or bad kid- I mean he was und d'amatos supervision ever since he was like 13. Only way later did he turn into a brute. It's nice to see how much he's changed and grown since then though.
@MrJoe-yw5ex
@MrJoe-yw5ex 3 жыл бұрын
@@NecocYaotl Yes, I watched a couple interviews-the rape charge and conviction, eventual fallout with Don King and many other personal issues took a toll on Mike. He was quite different under D'amato in spite of his upbringing. It is good to see Mike has come to terms with things. We all have our demons to deal with even if they are something the next guy would think nothing of. Mike's life was a roller coaster or maybe even something of a train wreck-I don't know. Money, fame and a prison term. Mean or pleasant, he made his mark on boxing-something he really does not even care to discuss much today.

@@comedyprogress I agree, Botha was very good. Not one of the very best of the era like Klitschko or Lewis, but a contender who got robbed against Shannon Briggs and robbed here because the ref apparently didn't realise what Tyson was doing with that arm wrenching, at least not soon enough. Tyson should have been disqualified for that, it was deliberate, very dangerous and he did it repeatedly.

What people don't understand is that Tyson wasn't really a bully. He was just fierce in the ring. He actually respected the guys who gave him a good fight and came right at him. He loved to mix it up. The announcers hyping Botha but he never hurt Mike. Styles make fights and Botha was kinda awkward and was barking the whole time. Mike was just waiting the catch him. Once he did that, it was a wrap.

The style of Botha was very risky and dangerous, even from the starting rounds it was visible that he was playing with fire. So nobody noticed that this video is reversed? MIKE TYSON is not southpaw but yet this video makes it look that way. This just go to show that people commenting on here no nothing about boxing because this the first thing I noticed is that MIKE Tyson is jabing with his right hand. It has to be because this video is reversed somehow.

Tyson was trying to wrench his arm, that's what started it. He did that because Botha was dominating Tyson early on, Tyson didn't like it and so tried to injure him in a way that the ref didn't seem to recognise. Botha should have tripped Tyson then kicked him full force in the face, THAT would be Botha mainly misbehaving...
