It is a well-known fact that Pavithra Idli Hotel on NH 48 in Khyatasandra, just outside Tumakuru is famous for the thatte idli that they have been dishing out for 36 years now. But what I found most interesting is the meticulous attention to detail of the owner, Mr. Udaykumar, he actually refers to himself as the third owner, the first two, he says, are his customers and employees, in his well-planned and spacious kitchen, that is more than twice the size of the dining area, and could perhaps outrival most traditional kitchens on the highways of India. So confident is he about his back areas that he offers willing customers a tour without hesitation. It is no wonder then that the fare served here - the thatte idli, and also a scrumptious mini benne masala dosae that I wasn't expecting - has swarms of fans for whom a stop at Pavithra Idli is a must when on the road here.

Tumkur is the most underrated city. Tumkur is known for tatte idli, where ever you go in Tumkur city, you will find tatte idlis. Most of the people will think that bidadi idli is the oldest one but that’s not the truth, tatte idli is born in tumkur. It is mentioned in history too by one of the poet of Mysore palace. Tumkur has a history of 500+ years on idlis. I request you to contact one of the historian in Tumkur and explore more tatte idli places in Tumkur, so that people of Karnataka will get to know about the history of idli and tumkur

Sir superb please visit shivaji nagar banglore there is a benne dosa hotel which is a very small hotel in a road of shivajinar it is the parallel road of ibrahim street believe me sir its damn amazing please do watch it and do a review on it Sir its no selfishness I even don't know him only twice I have been there but I am telling you sir I will give you full hope its totally different and amazing

I am happy to say I have been visiting this place since 2001 during my days at SIT Tumkur. Even now, I made it a point to visit the places near Tumkur and eat my breakfast at this place. Excellent food and people

My favourite eatery of my hometown Tumkur. Owner Mr. Uday Kumar and his sons are very customer friendly and cooperative. We never miss to have Idli/dosey here when we are on this route.

I have been to Bangalore multiple times in my childhood but never heard about all these hotels except MTR. Sad that KZbin was not there at that time, if it's there, you would have posted these videos and I would have visited. Sir, your way of video making and vocabulary makes me feel hungry with mouth watering even after a heavy meal. As you say I need to come and savour these dishes soon. As a food technologist, I always had a concern that getting hygienic and unadulterated food is nearly impossible in today's world but your videos proved me wrong and I think I changed my perception. I am glad that there are still hotels that give priority to quality and hygiene. So wonderful to see a hotel in ur channel, which is from my hometown - Tumkur.. I heard u saying Kyathasandra n not Tumkur.. this place/hotel is in Tumkur.. one more suggestion from my side is, if you goto Tumkur next time - plz visit Siddaganga Mutt. It is very close to Pavithra hotel... In Siddaganga Mutt you can know about Annadhana (free food for everyone) through out the year.. Free education/food/shelter for literally thousands of school kids... It's a ecosystem by itself - The Siddaganga Mutt

Hai, here in my place we won't get idly rice..is there any alternative for that ??? Can we use any other rice to make these idly ?? Will it come soft and fluffy and spongy ???? Please respond soon..thank you
