Modern? Guns have been around for 100s of years. Hook knew how to use it and aim so well that he only wounded Belle rather then out right kill her. So there must have been guns in the Enchanted Forest as well. So Belle ought to have know how to use it.

One of my favorite Rumbelle moments and that's saying something. It is one of the last times they are truthful about their emotions for a while. I love how desperate Rumple is. And he gets Belle to understand and accept that desperation as valid. He's showing her the beast. Yay!

I forgot about this scene. An interesting side of Rumple, seeing him so frantic and ticked off at the same time. He's torn between the hatred at Hook for what he did and wanting to simmer down for the woman he loves. Also I find it's a little bit funny at the end when Belle asks him to promise he's just going to get the shawl back... and he just storms out without saying anything. Usually he has a bad habit of skirting around the truth in moments like that, but this time you could see the wheels turning in his head, as if he meant to say, "I can't promise you a darn thing." Lol.

I believe that is true. But I think there is more to it than that. I suspect he will have to commit some kind of great sacrifice or be humiliated. She may say the same words Milah had said " I never loved you" or some variation of "no on can ever love you" and Rumple (who would have killed at this point) will forgive her and it will be a heartbreaking and pivotal scene which will show how much he truly changed. Shortly after that somehow Belle will remember. That is my theory. :)
