This case reminds me of the church that I used to attend many years ago, the founder of that church eats off the members. He comes up with programs and introduces it to the members and makes it sound so believable & convinces the members to pay money to those programs & in the end, it all goes into his pocket. He bought homes for his family and nice cars for himself.

Meska ppl tend to have issues with that as well when it comes to what needs to be fund and not fund, and what percentage they want for themselves, etc. yes, there are a lot of meska ppl that fundraise for themselves but they know how to hide it well so they don’t get caught

fundraising is the wrong term to use for these types of transaction. this is a "business" for profit thing. you host a party for money for personal use by a group of friends. like, going to big celebrity party or a club. it's a charge for entry and/meals. a fundraising event is not for personal gain or profit. it is to fund a community service for those less fortunate or a community program that needs additional funding via a 501(c) nonprofit organization. it also needs to be reported to that state yearly.
