Yes! Completely agree. I joke that I have only seen a game warden 3 times in my life. I'm 43 years old! On top of that, the Wildlife Agency stocks fish and brag about it...buy a license so you can go fish where we stock and you'll have a better chance to catch something. BS! I avoid stocking locations because I promise you are guaranteed to not catch a dang thing due to the people fishing illegally. Without a license and/or over limit. Also, why can we not have volunteer game wardens to help with this issue? We have volunteer fire departments, volunteers can be deputized by law enforcement, we should also have volunteer game wardens.

Exactly. They do that here as well where they stock fish and announce it, then for the next week, it is absolutely completely overrun with bucket brigades out there taking way over the limit and most of them fishing without a license, but the game wardens never show up to check anyone.

Exactly. I keep my fair share as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT greedy. I don't even ever keep more than 10-15 bluegills. I will even keep the occasional bass from areas that are overpopulated with stunted fish.

Yeah it was annoying to have them begging for the dinks at that pond when that's all they have there because of people like them. And yes, I AM angry over it, and yes, poachers is the accurate word.

Just about anything you want. MH is THE most versatile power. I'm gonna assume it's a fast action. I'd throw Texas rigged creature baits on it like a powerbait pit boss with a 3/16oz tungsten weight and a 3/0 EWG hook. However, it can also be used for spinner baits, small frogs, etc. It's a good "all around" power for casting equipment.

I don’t think I’m old enough to go to one of these meetings and I don’t even know if there are people like this in my area. I do have one question, are kids and teens under 18 able to fish without a license because I don’t want to go fishing if I’m not actually allowed to. One more thing is that, when you fish in other areas that aren’t necessarily public, do you just ask the owner of that property to fish or is there some other thing? I’m not really thinking of doing anything like that yet because I want to know my area better, but I do think I’d be some nice info to know before I do something stupid.

In Louisiana, 18 and older must have a license to fish. It used to be 16, but they changed it a few years back. Private ponds, yes, you need permission

They tend to do some shady stuff around here. My uncle was in law enforcement his whole life, and would warn all of my cousins about talking to the police, etc.

While I agree, they've always been professional with me. Dont get me wrong, most of the few encounters with the police I've had, they were professional too, but I've had a couple that weren't. The only kind of fishing expedition I like are ones in my kayak.
